Need help with my Social Science question – I’m studying for my class.
As we enter the 4th week of this course you should have a general understanding of why it is important to have an ethical code and be able to apply critical thinking and decision-making skills when determining how to handle ethical dilemmas.
In this assignment you should reflect on your assigned readings from Week 3 an include cited information in your paper. In this week’s readings you noticed a theme of Moral Awareness and might have realized the following words were repetitive:
- Empathy
- Honesty
- Respect
- Enthusiasm
- Ethics
- Empowerment
- Behavior
- Choice
- Values
- Principles
- Confidence
- Awareness
- Emotional Intelligence
Considering what you’ve read and what you’ve learned thus far, write a letter from your future self to your present self; self-reflecting on your college journey thus far. As a junior or senior, you’ve completed majority of your college career and we’ve all had moments that we think “I wish I could have, I should have, I would have”.
Consider the following while composing this assignment:
- Think about challenges and dilemma’s you’ve faced and how you would’ve done things differently.
- What you learned from it and how could you have been your ‘BEST SELF’ during this journey.
- How was your personal ethics challenged?
- How have you challenged others ethics?
- “When you lie, you delude yourself into believing what you’re saying.” – what lies have you told yourself or others throughout this journey? Why? What was the outcome? What would you do differently?
- Have you been your most honest and authentic self? Why or why not? What’s stopping you? Consider internal barriers (family, communication, personality etc.) and external barriers (relationships, social media, reputation etc.).
- Have you displayed empathy in your relationships? (Friends, peer, professors, coworkers etc.)
This assignment should be no less than two (2) but no more than three (3) pages, 1.5 Spacing, justified, 12 Font Times New Roman.
You’re talking to yourself in the third person (so talk to yourself as if you were speaking to a friend) for example:
Dear LaRhonda,
Freshman year was brutal but you’ll get through it……….. Remember when you decided to cheat on the exam in Physics; that wasn’t the best idea since you ended up failing…..
