Business Trip Brussels

Even then there was a further ‘hold’ on a taxiway; we were old that the De-icing of the apron was being completed so that planes could proceed to their allocated stands and airbeds. All around the airport I could see the scurrying flashing beacons of the snow-clearing vehicles, the catering suppliers’ vans, the aviation fuel trucks, the baggage trailers, buses transporting crews and passengers, security police cars, and an assortment of other vehicles all going purposefully about their work.

Brussels airport always looks busy, with over 10 million passengers a year, but this morning the complexity and scale of the operations were particularly evident. Finally, about an hour late, we pulled up to the gate, the engines were turned off, and we disembarked into an icy-cold airbed, leaving behind a particularly untidy plane strewn with litter from a full cabin of restless passengers. We passed the team of cleaners and maintenance staff waiting Just outside.

They will have a hard time this morning; more mess to clear and probably less time than usual to do It, as the airline will want a quick turnaround to get back on to schedule,’ I commented to my colleagues. We could Just hear the sounds of frantic activities going on below the lane: baggage and cargo being unloaded, catering vehicles arriving, fuel being loaded, and technicians checking over the engines and control surfaces.

Everyone trying to get their work completed quickly and correctly, not least so that they could get back indoors out of the biting cold wind From the airbed we walked past the crowded seating areas, where plane-sized groups were gathering anxiously awaiting the signal from the gate staff to board their much delayed flights. Then on to the moving walkways, conveyed leisurely past other departure lounges, equally overfilled with passengers. Anxious to get ahead of the crowd, we took to a running pace past the rows of café©s, bars and shops, hoping to avoid the usual morning queue for Passport Control.

I should have remembered the old saying ‘more haste, less speed’ because my next Journey was to the First Lad room! I had apparently slipped on some spilt coffee that had not been cleaned up In the haste of the morning, and had fallen awkwardly, straining my ankle and breaking Suitably patched up, I hobbled with my colleagues and Joined the long queue for Passport Control, and eventually through to Baggage Reclaim. Even with the excellent new baggage-handling systems in Brussels, the passengers usually get there first, but the accident had changed all that!

Scanning the video screens, we found no reference to our flight arrival; the remaining bags from our flight had apparently already been removed from the carousel and were stored in an adjacent office. After a simple signing ceremony, we were reunited with our belongings, and hastened (slowly in my case) to the taxi rank. Our hopes of a quick ride to the city were dispelled when we saw the long queue in the icy wind, so we made our way to the taxation below, where a dedicated ‘City Express’ train departs every 20 minutes for the Garage De Nor and Garage Central.

We Just missed one! After a busy and successful day at our Brussels office, a taxi was called, and we were back at the airport in the thick of the evening rush hour. The departures check- in area is the upper floor of a vast new terminal extension, and is very orderly and well equipped. Facing you on entry from the taxi drop-off point is a huge electronic display which lists all departures scheduled for the next few hours and showing the appropriate check-in desk number for each flight.

The speed of the check-in systems has been improved dramatically, so there was no queue at our desk, and the three of us were issued with boarding passes in only a couple of minutes. Our baggage sped away on conveyors down to the new sorting hall two storey below. Brochures explain that the new terminal extension was designed to make it possible to go from check-in to final boarding in only 20 minutes, which has involved investment in a state-of-the- art automated baggage-handling system.

On my last visit, following traffic delays on the way to the airport, I found that this system works, but I doubt that it would if everyone arrived only 20 minutes before departure! It is no wonder that they advise checking in one hour before; it also gives passengers much more time to spend money in the duty-free shops, restaurants and bars! By this time, my injured leg had swollen up and was throbbing painfully. This seemed to be a routine situation for the check-in staff, who arranged for a wheelchair and attendant to take me through Border Control and security checks.

While my leagues traveled down to the departures hall by escalator, I took the slower route by lift, meeting Just outside the duty-free shops where the attendant left them to take care of me. We had some time to spare, so we replenished the brandy, bought some Belgian chocolates and headed for a café©-bar. While Brussels is renowned for its excellent cuisine, we didn’t expect to find high standards of food in the quick-service environment of an airport, but we were wrong! The delicious aromas of freshly prepared food attracted our custom, and we weren’t disappointed.

After a welcome lass of specialist raspberry-flavored beer to round off the meal, we headed for the airline’s executive lounge. The view across the airfield was not promising! After a bright, crisp day, more were working on the parked aircraft and others were treating the runways, taking quick action between the aircraft movements. Concerned that we might be delayed and miss our connection at Oslo, we checked with the staff at the airline’s flight information desk. After some phoning, they confirmed that, although there could be some delays, Oslo had arranged to hold connecting flights, as many passengers originated from Brussels.

Their professional and friendly advice made us feel much more at ease, and they even offered to allow us to send fax or phone messages to our destination. They couldn’t have been more helpful. Announcements of the minor delays were made over the speaker system, but it wasn’t long before we were directed to the departure lounge and were preparing to board. Outside, around the aircraft in the gloom, the baggage trucks were pulling away and the giant push-off tractor was being connected up to the nose-wheel. Ten minutes later, we were at the end of the runway, ready for take-off.

My Riding Trip in the Mountains

My Riding Trip in the Mountains One day in April I was playing games in my room and my dad asks me if I want to go to the mountains to ride four wheelers and dirt bikes, and I said yes. So me and my dad walked up to the garage and put the trailer on the truck. The next day was Thursday and I had to load everything on to the trailer and into the truck. The first thing I had to load up was the clothes, sheets, blankets, tooth brushes, tooth paste, and a couple towels. Then I had to load up the two four wheelers and 3 dirt bikes that we brought. The first four wheeler I had to load up, I had to put in the back of the truck.

So I went down to the first garage and got the four wheeler and brought it up to the trailer. Then I went in to the first garage and got the little yellow ramp sand put them in the back of the trailer. Then I got the big wooden ramps and set them up to where I could ride the four wheeler up on to the trailer. Then I rode the four wheeler up onto the trailer to the beginning of the yellow ramps. I got off to get the big ramps and set them up so that I could ride the four wheeler from the trailer to the truck. Then I rode the four wheeler up the ramps and into the truck. The next thing I loaded up was the other four wheeler.

So I rode it up the ramps and into the trailer and twisted it side ways. After that I loaded up the yz 125 and twisted it side ways and did the same for the other two dirt bikes. I put the gate on the trailer, loaded up the gas cans, two cycle oil and oil and we were ready to begin our 3 hour ride to the mountains. At about 5:00 we began our journey to the mountains and it was a long boring ride. We arrived at the lodge around 8:30 because of traffic. When we got there we dot our blankets and clothes and went inside for the night. When we got in we each picked a room and put our stuff in it and went back into the living room and watched T.

V. As about an hour passed we all went in our rooms and went to bed so we could go riding the next morning. The next morning some unexpected people came to the lodge. There names were brad and jess, and they had four wheelers in the back of their truck. Bra and jess unloaded their four wheelers while we unloaded ours then we went riding. We rode for hours, we went to a bunch of hill climbs, and we crossed a creek twice. We rode 20 miles away from the lodge into Orvinston where we got caught in a parade. So we started to head back towards the lodge and came to the first creek crossing.

Brad went first, jess went next, and my dad went third, and I went after my dad but I laid my dirt bike over in the creek because I hit a big slippery rock. Luckily we had a tow rope in the four wheeler. I tied one en of the rope to the rack of brads four wheeler and the other end to my handle bars of my dirt bike and we tried to pop start it. The first couple of times it didn’t work but the fifth time it did so I untied the rope and ran all of the water out of the air box. I noticed that the whole crew was following behind mend then I came to the second creek crossing.

I was scarred to go across at first but I did any way and every one followed behind me. I ended up leading the way back to the way back to the lodge, where we ate lunch and rested for about an hour. At about 2:00 that day we back out for another ride. We went up a couple of hill climbs and rode a lot of roads to get to a big mud pit. I rode through it a couple of times on a little four wheeler and got cocky. Bra asked me if I wanted to try his 600 grizzly and I did I planed across it twice and then brad yelled hit it with the throttle pinned, and I did just that.

The next thing I knew the four wheeler flipped heals over head and landed on top of me. My helmet flew off and I instantly pushed the four wheeler of me with my feet. I was knocked out for a few seconds and I woke up under water. I managed to get my self up on to my feet and all that I saw was brad running through the water to see if I was ok. The four wheeler was lying on its side. I helped brad push it back over and start it back up. The four wheeler started right up and brad rode it out of the mud pit. I walked out of the mud pit and got on my dirt bike.

My helmet was wet so I strapped it to brads four wheeler and we rode back to the lodge. Before I knew it our time to ride was over. We stayed one more night and packed everything up the next morning. Brad had one more thing to do before we left and that was to put a tree stand up for hunting season and I went with him to help him. That took about an hour and when we got back to the lodge every one was ready to leave. Brad locked all of the doors and the gate and we got in the truck and left. That was the end of my riding trip to the mountains.

Attitude Toward Tourist Vancouver and Whistler is a multicultural city, many people all are around the world lives in this beautiful city. The individuals in Vancouver and Whistler are like individuals anyplace. 90% decent and 10% jerks. In any case Canadians, whereas inviting, tend to keep to themselves more than Americans and will not bother you unless there’s a great reason. People of this city are so welcoming, happy and respecting each other. A Trip to Italy

Vacation and travel is a phenomenon which strikes a chord with nearly every human being on the planet. While true, there are many without the means to engage in such activity, there is little doubt that the primal urge to escape one’s everyday surroundings strikes all but the most reclusive of people. There are many different locales to which one may escape, as well as a large variety of reasons for traveling.

Be it sandy beaches, or snowy mountains, for family recreation or for spiritual soul-searching. . . a long vacation tends to be good for the mind. Among the thousands upon thousands of vacation hotspots spread out across the planet, one of the most popular locales is Italy. The country stands proud as one of the most visited places on Earth because there are a large variety of activities one can partake in, as well as a multitude of places to visit amongst the country’s varied landscape.

For the humble traveler, a trip to Italy would serve as one of the most memorable and luscious experiences they would ever partake in. Italy is a beautiful country with many reasons why one would travel there, from local cuisine, to a breadth of landmarks detailing the country’s long and interesting history, and a storied culture revolving around family values. Italy is a magnificent vacation area full of excitement and enticing opportunities.

From Florence to Venice, food and dining is an integral and cultured part of Italy’s background, and something which any would-be tourist must experience. True Italian food carries with it a large range of emotions which impact the consumer long before it even touches one’s taste buds. Walking down the winding, cobblestone streets, or perhaps even sinking down into a gondola during a romantic evening floating through the calming canals, the sights and smells of Italy’s cuisine are impossible to escape.

As smoke and steam bellow out from the various diners, small or large, the sizzling sounds of lean fish with the whitest of meat, and highly-seasoned potatoes dazzle the ears. Upon finding a seat in one of the various beautiful dining destinations scattered across the country, one is sure to be struck by the pure joviality of the eating environment. Much like France, the eating habits in Italy stretch well beyond the need to survive, or the cravings endure for certain tastes. Eating in Italy is as much a cultural pastime as playing baseball in the United States of America.

As the smooth texture of Italy’s various famed pasta dishes lay upon one’s tongue, they are engaging in not just a country’s dish, but its lifestyle and culture as well. Once a visitor has had their fill of Italy’s expertly crafted meals, they can begin the process of true cultural immersion by visiting and learning the history of Italy’s landmarks. With its mythology and culture stemming from Greece, Italy was once upon a time one of the greatest powers on the planet due to the Roman Empire.

Examining the towering heights of the Roman Colosseum or the Parthenon is breathtaking in every sense of the word. The amount of effort and time it must have taken the Roman society to build their landmarks is staggering to consider. With even just the slightest amount of imagination, its easy to picture one of the many genius’ from the Renaissance slaving away in their workshop, such as the mathematical and architectural pathfinder known as Brunelleschi, or the phenomenal creative genius of Leonardo DaVinci.

Recalling the various figures and places from Italian history isn’t dismissive of the fact that they are separated by time, but rather it calls to mind the fact that the beautiful tourist destinations that one can experience while visiting the country are the products of centuries, upon centuries of history. Yet, there is much to take away from a trip to Italy, beyond the ideas of delicious foods, wondrous landscapes, and Ferraris. The culture of Italy is something which could easily stick within ones mind well after they have left.

Perhaps the most striking cultural aspect of Italian everyday-life is the central role of family and familial values. In the South of Italy, in fact, it is not uncommon for even extended family to live within one home, sharing every part of their life together. While one may not observe the emotional and financial support these families give to each other internally firsthand, there is undoubtedly a sense of pride and respect that stems from these close-knit family ties which extend into societal life, such as the high respect that is held for elders no matter where one occupies Italy.

In addition to this, visitors and outsiders are often treated with an immaculate kindness that permeates social gatherings. One could infer that family values in Italy have become so strong that they have stretched beyond literal family, and encapsulate the human race itself instead. Alongside these typical moral values, there is an emphasis on proper form and etiquette in all aspects of Italian life. Social appearance is a very important part of Italian life, as the projection of oneself can extend to represent not just the self, but family and country as well.

First-impressions are considered one of the most vital parts of social interactions, because of the thought that said impression will last, and the fear of a tarnished reputation promotes joyous and welcoming greetings. These close meetings with people that one has, perhaps, not even met, are sure to be remembered by the various tourists who come and go. This may be due to other countries’ comparatively cold salutations, such as in France or the United States, where the people between oneself and destination are just obstacles.

Italy is an amazing seaside country with hundreds, if not thousands of ways to attract tourists. The famous fish dishes, pasta, and wine that Italy is host to are, undoubtedly, some of the foremost attractions for outsiders, especially for visitors arriving from the States. . . the colorful and heavily seasoned national dishes are sure to evoke the life within ones palate, a palate that is sure to grow dormant as one becomes accustomed and overly-acclimated to their own local cuisine.

Once one is tired of these dishes, if that is possible, they are sure to enjoy the strikingly beautiful landmarks which scatter the horizon, such as the Parthenon, which evoke thoughts of all the brilliant minds which stemmed from the age of the Roman empire and beyond. Lastly, it is thoroughly enjoyable to experience a culture that is in high contrast to one’s own. Especially if said contrasts are positive and influential as is the case with Italy’s family values and social values. Italy holds a vivid beauty that flows throughout all aspects of its culture.

Eudora Welty’s A Worn Path: Phoenix’s Trip to the Local Town

The short story “” written by Eudora Welty is about an old Black woman’s trip into to the local town. The woman’s name is Phoenix and she is going to town to get medicine for her sick grandson. However, as she travels along the path Phoenix encounters several obstacles that show that along with her old age and deteriorating body her mind is slipping away from her as well. Phoenix is an elderly black woman who is charged with the task of taking the long trip through the woods and in to town.

She is the only caretaker for her grandson and even though her senses and her body are starting to fail her she is still willing to take the risk. In the first part of the story Phoenix gets caught up in a thorn bush and it is not clear at first why she allowed herself to get as close to the bush as she did, but you are eventually brought to realize that her eyes are the betrayer. “I in the thorny bush,” she said. Thorns you doing your appointed work. Never want to let folks pass, no sir. Old eyes thought you was a pretty little green bush” (1).

This is just one of many examples of how her body along with her senses is slowly drifting away from her. While Phoenix is walking along on her journey in to the town she stops to take a break on the bank. Even though she does not chose to take a nap she still somehow manages to drift off into what some may consider and dream, or a warped sense of reality. “She did not dare to close her eyes, and when a little boy brought her a plate with a slice of marble-cake on it she spoke to him. “ That would be acceptable,” she said.

But when she went to take it there was just her own hand in the air” (2). It seems that the stresses of the journey along with the deteoration of her body due to old age are taking a toll on Phoenix. As Phoenix is walking through a field she spots a figure in the distance that appears to be dancing in the wind. The first thought that comes to her mind is that it is either a man or a ghost but she soon realizes that it is neither of those things. It appears that her warped sense of reality leads her to consider unrealistic things over rationality and disregard reason. Ghost,” she said sharply. “Who be you the ghost of? For I have heard of nary death close by” (2). Phoenix mind along with her eyes are constantly playing tricks on her and I think she is slowly realizing that she can no longer trust herself. After a long and challenging trip through the woods, Phoenix finally makes it into town to get medicine for her grandson. But upon arriving at the doctor’s office she completely forgets why she came. Through the trip Phoenix has been struggling to make it both mentally and physically.

It appears that her age has finally caught up to her, however her dedication to her grandson still manages to overpower the unfortunate consequences of old age. “My grandson, it was my memory had left me. There I sat and forgot why I made my long trip” (5). Even though, Phoenix is old and her health is fading just as fast as her mind. Her dedication to her grandson in the end is the one thing that is able to get her through and keep her in touch with reality. She is a woman who may not always be the most physically and mentally capable still manages to have the tenacity and grit needed to make it through her hard life.

Field Trip Report to Jtmc Library

Field Trip Report to JTMC Library Johor Technical Matriculation College (JTMC), Pontian 14 March 2013 Introduction The purpose of this field trip is to look at existing conditions and facilities available at Johor Technical Matriculation College (JTMC) library. Apart from that the trip was also intended to discuss possible improvements that can be suggested to the management of the library. Johor Technical Matriculation College (JTMC) built on the site of the Rambah Village, Rimba Terjun Reuters in Pontian.

It is one of the 13 Matriculation College under the auspices of the Matriculation Division, Ministry of Education to prepare students for further studies at any of the local universities and abroad. The college began operating on 11 May 2009, and can accommodate up to 700 students in certain time. The college is located near to the Pontian town and surrounded by large cities such as Batu Pahat and Johor Bahru. JTMC Library is a knowledge center which provides reference materials and information for learning throughout the matriculation program.

JTMC Library officially began operations on 1St January 2010 with a collection of 4,156 copies of the book. The mission is contributed to the excellence of knowledge in science and technology through improved access to sources of knowledge, access and distribution and spread accurate and effective info. Meanwhile, the vision is to be the superior knowledge center among technical matriculation by 2015. The motto of JMTC library is ‘Your Information Hub’ and it has 4 main objectives which are provide information services to all library users.

Secondly, effectively manage the library in line with the needs of teaching, learning, and development of JTMC. Then, promoting information services to citizens of JTMC and cultivate a culture of knowledge among JTMC citizens towards excellence in science and technology. Field observation Apart from collection storage center, resource center also plays a role in providing information services package to support the process of learning and research at the Johor Technical Matriculation College. This is essential to achieve the mission of the college to provide the creative talent and innovative in the field of science and technology.

Classification system that has been adopted is in accordance with the Dewey Decimal Classification System. Besides that, the library management use the system software Library Management System for borrowing process, returns, renewals and library databases. At this time JTMC Library led by the Director of Johor Technical Matriculation College which is Tuan Zaidi Bin Yazid and has the strength of 4 staff to lead the library operations. The JTMC Library consisting of Librarian, Administrative Assistant and have two Office Assistant.

However, there is still a gap to fill the position of Assistant Library Officer and Assistant Librarian. Library operating hours on Monday to Friday is at 8 am to 5 pm on the day and 8. 30 pm to 11. 00 pm at the night. Meanwhile, during the weekends the library operating on the day only, which is from 10. 00 am to 5. 00 pm. Along with the development of technology resource center has also launched a digital collection consists of newspaper clippings, newsletters and abstract content review / article which can be accessed through the Johor Technical Matriculation College (JTMC) portal.

Throughout this observation, I can see some weakness of this library and have been thinking about some solutions to the problem. First, the number of staff during operating hours should be added and all the empty position should be filled. In addition, with the availability of adequate staff then the opening hours can be extended. Thirdly, books should be up to date and increase the number of reference books for critical subject. Then, library environment should be more interesting and ideal for carry out various college activities.

Conclusion It is obvious that library plays a major role in ensuring student academic success. Therefore it is important for the library to provide the best service to satisfy customer needs. From my experiences Johor Technical Matriculation College (JTMC) library can be one of the best library among other library when able to meet the demands of all users. My Trip to Spain

I apologize in advance for this papers content. I literally hate writing about anything which I am not interested in. Hence writing about my summer vacation was the only thing I could do. This is about a trip I took with seven of my friends who I got to know due to all the things we experienced together. A not so cool boy’s night out journal is what this is. My seven friends and I decided to visit the most notorious place to party, Ibiza.

It is located in Spain. Our craving to experience youth to the fullest led us to this place. This place known to us threw YouTube, where you see the most scandalous women dancing in clubs all night long and rumours and comments from people who visited previously. Quotes from our friends: “So easy to get pussy” or “it’s the sickest place brah! ” Even, “if you don’t get laid there, you suck! ” So our confidence was high and we just couldn’t wait to get there. We bought our selves plane tickets to and from Stockholm to Madrid (4 hours wait time) and a small plane to our final destination Ibiza. The cost for this was around 2500kr. Our hearts are pumping with excitement and nervousness. A day left for our trip to begin, thus everyone starts getting ready. Shopping was in top of our list. We needed to look the best we could. We were competing against men from all around the world and even amongst our selves, so most of us sunk at least 2000kr on shorts, t-shirts, one or two sets of good jeans and shirt for the expensive clubs, glasses, swim shorts etc. I needed to know about the place where I was getting my self into so I did some research and this is what I found… Official name: The Kingdom of SpainIt is situated in the Iberian Peninsula in southern Europe. It is surrounded by France, Gibraltar, Portugal, Andorra, North Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea.

Capital: Madrid Language: Spanish is the official language but there are other language used in different regions; Aranese, Basque, Catalan/Valencian and Galician. Population size: 45,5million in 2008 Size: 506,000M square meters (making it the second largest country in Western Europe and the European Union after France) Political Structure: Parliamentary monarchy (since 1978) King Juan Carlos is the head of state in Spain and Queen Sofia. The day has come and we head to the airport by Arlanda Express. Here on out everything goes smoothly till we reach the plane. We all know the cliches from movies where the baby or an annoying kid sitting right behind you annoying the hell out of you. Well I was fortunate enough to go through that 3 out of 4 plane rides and god it was painful. This cute and fat 2-3 year old kid cried nonstop, jumped around and even kicked the seat which I was seated in.

The whole plane suffered whenever he craved for something, which he did all the time! The mother’s lack of ability to control the kid was just astonishing. And the father’s sense of pride for his son was plain irritating. When someone says hurt full things against an innocent child was just absurd to me, until that day. I think if anyone had the chance to kick that kid out, they would have done it with a smile. My 6hour plane ride with no rest, no food and not even alcohol with this “thing” behind me was unreal. We finally reach Madrid. The airport was marvellous, huge, neat, everything you could expect from one of the most visited place on the planet.

People and the service we received were unexpectedly low. I might be spoiled since I live in Sweden and the service here is; welcoming smile, greetings in the start and a goodbye in the end. But there; none of them spoke English, since you don’t speak Spanish they acted rudely and they tried avoiding us as much as they could. One woman in a shop told us that they were about to close just so she could get rid of us. A waiter ignores us for 5 minutes just because he didn’t understand us and this was in McDonalds, a fast food restaurant. We might have gotten unlucky in someway but I am not exaggerating. Our three hours wait time is finally over and we are in our last plane ride towards the final destination.

We step in the plane excited and giggling again, when suddenly everything stood still. I see the passenger behind my seat. Yes, it’s the same fucking baby again! And this time the baby seems a bit energetic and happy. Friends of mine came up to me and gave their condolences. I knew what was in store for me. I told my self; it’s a short two hour ride, the worst is already over, you can do this!Ibiza finally! Ibiza is located in the western Mediterranean, Ibiza forms part of the Balearic Islands, which also includes Mallorca, Menorca and its small neighbour Formentera. Size: 571 sq km Population: 113,908 For a warm country, it barley had any mosquitoes (which is amazing for me) According to the people I met from different places, Ibiza is a great place to find jobs during summer.

Attractive women get jobs really easy, in places like hotels, restaurant, bars, strip bars and clubs. So most teenagers work and party with the money they earn.Nightmare finally ends. Almost out of the airport, we withdrew 3000kr so we don’t have to do it again. Right next to us stood 3 beautiful girls around 19-25 years old, wearing sexy matching tops and hot pants standing next to a booth, which was filled with Club adds (pictures of DJ’s, hot naked booth babes, men, woman soaked in some oily foam) I immediately felt guilty/dirty just being around it. The three girls approached us and enquired if we were planning to visit any clubs, we caught up in their beauty said yes.Immediately these three turn into some awesome saleswomen who just spewed 20 different clubs for us to attend, discounts and how to get there.

Back in my head I was simply amazed of the professionalism these three young hot bomb shells had. And yes we took all the things they threw at us. We decide to take a cab but we get interrupted by 2 shady looking men offering us black taxi. We agree. He takes us a long way away from the airport. On our way we get the creeps and start getting second thoughts about the whole thing. Everyone is loaded with 3000kr and we are not sure if it’s worth the risk.

But they seemed pretty normal to me so I convince everyone to just go with it. I’m there sitting in the front seat next to the driver trying to act cool and tuff. Driver is a man around 25 something. I start enquiring about the city and the people. Somewhere along the conversation he offers me hashish, my friends and I knew exactly what it was. In amusement I encouraged him in the topic. Before I knew it he offered me 7grams of hashish, followed by five different types of ecstasy pills and toped it with the dangerous drug known to man, cocaine.

We haven’t even settled down yet and we were offered this.I tell him that we needed to discuss among friends so he hands me his business card with his name and cell phone number in it. A 20 minute ride and we arrive at the hotel I promise to call him and with a hand shake I leave. We enter the hotel called Amar Amantis. Thanks to a friend of mine we got 30 percent discount on the room. Eight of us split two rooms, four on each so it turned out really cheap. The receptionist seemed like he was taught to be strict towards teenagers and the warning he gave us was; no loud music in the rooms and no swearing in or around the hotel.

Noticed later on that all hotels is trying to make Ibiza a family friendly place but that’s a hard thing to achieve when there is so many teenagers without their parents) I thought that warning was a weird thing to say but it made perfect sense the next day. The place was filled with English people. 96 percent of the people were British. The ones you couldn’t understand no matter how slowly they spoke. I’ve never imagined English can be spoken that way. I learnt that a “fag” meant cigarette. You can imagine a girl approaching me asking for a fag.

It did not end smoothly. My HotelThey served three buffets a day, breakfast, lunch and dinner. They had open bar from 10am to 11pm. Two awesome swimming pools with bar few meters away. A snack bar when the buffet was unavailable and all of this for free! This saved us massive amounts of money. Party officially starts. We in the spirit of Ibiza get drunk faster then we can imagine, hit the pool and have a blast.

When the sun goes down we fill our selves with more alcohol and decide to go to a bar. In the bar you can pay 5euro=50kr and get a huge glass of different alcoholic beverages. The most common drink is vodka red bull.I got goose bumps each time I saw the amount of vodka they poured in it. We got so drunk that we couldn’t remember anything after 3pm. Next morning I was woken up by one of my friend screaming “I think I’m bleeding, Joe help! ” Soon we realize that it was his own puke (orange/reddish) which he was laying in (don’t want to go into too much detail but he puked all four sides, he somehow managed to get the wall. It ended up in a huge laughter and mystery of not knowing how we ended up back to our rooms without the key.

Next day everyone avoided hangover because we all threw up.And since everyone was feeling good we decided to do something adventures. We rode Jet Ski’s around for hours, tried out paragliding and rubber rafting behind speedboats. Sun sets and even though we are exhausted, we still attend clubs all in the spirit of Ibiza. Day by day things accelerated a bit, from remaining in clubs for longer period of time to the amount of drugs people took. And one day it all ended. The day which pulled us back to reality was the day which we will never forget.

Started out as usual, got drunk in the hotel for free. Proceed to the bar/clubs and got really drunk. But now we have a few elements to add; pills and cocaine. The group is split. The ones on pills were in clubs and the ones on cocaine were everywhere. Most of us that night did something regrettable. Flirting with every chick that walked by, running in the beach naked with random people, too many strip bars unable to even remember it, buying more drugs in a state unable to even stand straight and other embarrassing things not worth mentioning.

Sun is almost up, everyone starts getting sober except a certain someone who lost control and took a bit too much cocaine. He went wild. Wanted to take a bath in the cold beach, harassing girls who passed by and getting aggravated when he gets dismissed. We had such a hard and exhausting time trying to controlling him. Due to the mixed emotion pouring out of him, we manage to distract him and lure him into the hotel. When in the room he realizes that he did something wrong so he starts feeling guilty and starts crying and even tries to kill himself but we manage to hold him down until he passes out. This insane act of his made us realize how wrong it could have gone for us.

By learning from his mistake, everyone eases down with drugs and alcohol. We skip the night life until everyone started feeling better. Awkward apologies were received until everything went back to usual. We visited Ibiza town later on, the women in there were nothing but beautiful and everyone wore at least 50,000kr worth of clothes and they were all older then 25. The city was made for the rich. The bars, shops and streets felt expensive and we knew that there was no chance in hell that we could get some, if you know what I mean.So we head back to our usual place were our hotel is situated.

Few days left in Ibiza so we make the best out of it in everyway possible. I get harassed by another baby in on of the plane rides and we finally reach Stockholm. We all felt as if we have grown in some way or the other after all the things we have seen, learnt and experienced. When we were in one of the biggest clubs in Ibiza I remember telling my self “life is good being rich”. The club was almost like a labyrinth, we had a hard time trying to get out.The club is called Pacha, 700kr to enter because of David Guetta (one of the best DJ’s in the world) Seems like this island was a test in someway, all the things which we were protected by our parents and society was open and thrown at us and it was tempting in every way. I feel like I did the right thing or did not do the wrong thing which is so unexpected of us.

This achievement is necessary for a boy to become a man and not all but most of us got it. To me Ibiza is a devils gift to man and boy was it sweet! A must visit for every teen out there.
