Compassionate Capital Region Questions
I’m studying for my Film class and need an explanation.
(There is no page limit and additional readings. Just answer all these questions very briefly and find the examples. Thank you!)
A. Please find at least three examples of user-generated a/v pieces (YouTube, Vimeo, other a/v sites) that relate to the topic (“Permission to Speak! Candidates, campaigns, citizens: the electoral process, governance, civic activity”).
If you’d like to share something taken from commercial, feature, or news/journalism work (a movie scene clip or compilation; news coverage or reportage) that’s fine, but limit it to no more than two of your selections, unless the piece is truly transformative; try to find, if possible, original user-generated work.
For all your selections, include source/link information, and a brief annotation as to how your came across the piece, and your reasoning/interest for the particular selection.
B. Please curate at least two music or sound examples relating to our topic.
Include source/link information; if your selection is an mp3 file, please upload as an attachment it to the assignment (or link to a YouTube clip, if the music is there). And again, annotate your selection with a brief discussion on how you came across the piece, and your reasoning for its selection.
C. Please find at least two photographic, painting/drawing/sketch, graphic print/poster, or other expressive visual forms that relate to our topic.
Again, include source/link (upload to assignment), as well as how you came across the image, and your reasoning for selection.
D. Please find a textual sample (fiction, non-fiction, poetry, play, philosophy, policy essay, etc.) that relates to our topic. If you’d like to include an excerpt of a longer work, that is fine.
Again, include source/links, how you came across the work, and your reasoning for selection.
E. Please find one example of architecture, installation, environment/location that relates to our topic.
Again, include source/link, how you came across your example, and reasoning for its selection.
