ECPI University Types of Cloud Services Research Paper
I’m working on a Computer Science question and need guidance to help me study.
Assume your Fortune 500 Company is comparing two cloud providers to narrow down and select one to use for data storage; Amazon Web Services (Links to an external site.) and your selection of one more provider from the Internet. Examine the web services and data protection control of the two providers and summarize your findings, being sure to include responses to the following items in a three to four-page Microsoft Word document:
- Analyze cloud services that are provided by each vendor. Compare the companies and identify which services they offer that are similar.
- Describe the differences between the services they offer (i.e., security and compliance, reliability, technical support, access method, pricing, data locations, company head office, support, SLA, etc.). Which provider would you recommend for your company?
- (Links to an external site.)(Links to an external sitExplain how web services relate to the cloud. Analyze the web services provided by the provider and identify any that would be beneficial to your company. Explain why these services would benefit your company.
- Examine and describe a minimum of three data protection controls for storing data on the cloud.
- Compare and contrast different services cloud products provide (i.e., analytics, application services, mobile services, customer support). Describe how these services are provided within a security context.
- Evaluate the cloud provider’s data protection controls.
- Upon closer examination of the data protection controls for storage data, explain if you feel one of the controls should be used more often or should not be used at all. Support your opinion with information from your sources when applicable.
In your paper, reference at least three articles to support your findings or opinions. All references should be cited using APA style (both in-text and references). Ensure you have proper spelling, grammar, and mechanics throughout your writing.
