Facts Scenario:Ralph and Lewis work for a security agency, IGA. IGA has a strict employment policy of not placing anyone with a criminal record into a situation where they may gain sensitive security information about its clients. IGA failed to do a background check on Lewis. If the company had done so, then it would have realized that Lewis has been convicted of three felonies one of which was money laundering. Ralph and Lewis work together to install security systems. The latest system they installed was at National Bank. Lewis convinces Ralph that they should rob the bank and use his money laundering contacts to move the money. To start, Ralph and Lewis ask Pete to use his company key card to get needed supplies from company storage. Pete just wants people to like him; so, he doesn’t ask any questions. Pete is completely unaware of the criminal plans. Ralph and Lewis also get Marie, Ralph’s girlfriend, to purchase clothing to be used for their disappearance. Marie plans to go with the men after the robbery.
After getting everything ready, Ralph and Lewis report to work as usual. They get their tools and work truck and go to National Bank. They gain access to the vault by claiming the security system sent off a maintenance signal. While in the vault, Ralph and Lewis empty their tool bags, hide the tools behind some money and refill the bags with stacks of cash. However, before the two men are then allowed to leave the bank, a motion sensor attached to the money sounds and locks them in the vault. The men are then arrested.
