Negative Effects of Excess of Anything is Bad Television Watching

Con Television Television is one of the most profound inventions of the twentieth century, yet I feel it is one of the most notorious inventions ever. Television is a very useful invention when it comes to certain events but watching television extensively can lead to many problems. The problems that television has is that it is extremely bad for your health, can have a negative effect on your social life, and it corrupts whoever is watching.

Believe it or not, hours of television are hazardous to your health. I learned from a wonderful book called, “What they don’t want you to know about television” written by an orthodox Rabbi who says, “If a person is a T.V. addict, one who sits down for at least 5 or more hours a day in front a T.V., may very well be obese.

The reason he gives for this is that there were many tests that resulted in a decreases of the metabolism from sitting in front of a television. They tested a child metabolism laying down on a sofa looking at the ceiling with a child sitting in front of a television and resulted that the kid’s metabolism who was sitting in front of the television was slower than that of the kid’s who was laying down staring at the ceiling. They stated that television causes the body to fall into a relaxed “doing nothing” state, which causes the metabolism to slow down. By having the metabolism to slow down, this causes the digestion rate to slow down and might cause obesity.

Furthermore, when a person sits down to watch television he or she may tend to snack on foods. The foods usually aren’t healthy, they for example, are chips sodas and other high carbonate and fatty foods. Many times when my brother and sister watch TV they usually eat “junk food” like chips, candies and sodas. The combination of excess fatty foods and a slow metabolism can cause obesity which isn’t healthy whatsoever. Also, television causes one to become lazy.

By staying in-doors and not doing anything but sitting and watching television day after day causes laziness. If you don’t believe me, I have a baby sister, who is 4, and younger brother, who is 12, that spend most of their time in front of a television set. Both of them are obese and extremely lazy. If you would ask them to get a cup of water, they are so lazy that they would put up a fit until you stop asking. Laziness promotes less activity which causes less calorie burn up. Limiting television watching can increase the chances of have a healthy body.

Excess television watching, which is watching T.V. for 5 or more hours, can cause a person to be anti-social. A social person, to my standards, consists of the following factors: the person is outgoing and meets others, the person is active, and the person has many various friends. Watching television as I proved before makes you lazy and inactive; it causes the person to stay indoors which is impossible to meet other unless they are your mail man.

This also limits the people that person knows causing him limited friends. Also, as I said previously in my last paragraph excess T.V. watching makes one obese. I know from experiences that a girl would hardly ever dance with a guy who was fat or vice versa. From my experience at a party, there was a girl who was extremely obese and all the guys were laughing at her and not even getting close to her or her friends. Looks nowadays are very important, for example, put yourself in this scenario, and you were a beautiful looking girl or a “Brat Pitt” looking guy, would you even get close to a guy who was fat and ugly?

Being fat extremely lowers your self-esteem so even if you got lucky and the girl was “checking you out”, you still would feel awkward and be intimidated to go and dance with her. I have had that happen to one of my friends at this party and he tells me, “Mike, she just messing with me she just wants to have a laugh”. Finally proving my point, that by watching television extensively, 5 or more hours, it can cause obesity which can lower self esteem or limit a person from being social.

The last most important reason why excess television watching is bad is due to the fact that it corrupts people, especially children. Many shows nowadays are very corrupt. Shows such as Baywatch, V.I.P with Pamela Anderson, and other Late Night shows on FOX and the WB have a lot of sexual material. Not only do the shows contain sexual material but also in commercials, such as Victoria Secret, having woman dressed almost in nothing and acting in a very sexual way. They also have other shows that are very violent like Fast Lane that have scenes of shooting and robberies.

These types of shows can desensitize a person who was never exposed to such things and most of us haven’t seen a shootout or any extremely violent material. Moreover, these shows also use violent scenes to depict stories and usually tend to use harsh and vulgar language. These words maybe passed on from the actor to the child and from the child to his or her teacher, parents, siblings or friends. This is absolutely true because my baby sister was watching a movie with my brother. I came home and ask her what she did today, she tells me “Get the hell away!” I didn’t let her watch T.V. for a month after that happened. These three things are what are called sexual lust, de sensitivity and lack of manners, which corrupt people.

Another time, my baby sister one day started dancing in a “stripper fashion” and I was wondering were she learned it from. I saw that she watched so much televisionand I realized that it was these commercials and shows that taught her. Not only does it corrupt people in a sexual and desensitized way but also corrupts and destroys creativity. People who watch excess amounts of television tend to lose their imagination and creative skills. I have a friend that is very smart when it come to money, but when we need to make a project or something that requires creativity or an imagination he can’t think of anything, so I have to think of something and it comes to me very quick.

I guess it’s because I don’t spend as much time in front of the television as my friends do. Television takes time away from children playing with their toys, either creating an army going to war or having tea with her dolls, which builds creativity. Excess television also cuts down on reading time, which is vital for a child’s vocabulary and comprehension in what he or she hears or reads. Television can be a corruptive tool, which can destroy and corrupt an innocent persons mind.

Now with the few reasons that were given, do you the reader feel convinced that television is a good thing or bad? Yes, T.V. can be a wonderful invention that can teach our children good from bad, but how many of us actually monitor what our children watch. You can see that when writing this essay didn’t use television watching, but excess TV watching, which may teach you that watching TV in excess can cause you to have health problem, have less of a social life than you might want, and destroys creativity.

A Healthy Lifestyle with a Busy Schedule Speech

Eating Healthy With A Busy Schedule

So we’re all busy right? Running to and from places. To Starbucks, to the office, to visit an elderly grandparent, to the gym, to an extra-curricular activity, a meeting. Running! running! running. And yet, I always roll my eyes at those skinny girls who say, “I just don’t have time to eat! ” Yeah, WHATEVER! Rome could be burning, and there I am, chomping’ away. In fact, I can count on one hand the number of meals I’ve missed in my ENTIRE lifetime. If you ask my husband, he’ll attest to it! No joke. I NEVER miss a meal. So, how do you do it? With all the running and juggling, how do you make time for good healthy meals, and avoid skipping? Believe me, I’m just as busy as the next person, but I always make time to eat. I’m not saying I haven’t eaten a salad in my car on my way to a meeting, but I make food a priority, as funny as it sounds. For women juggling it all, food is in fact paramount to your success. And good food, may I add. Eating healthy with a busy lifestyle. You on the fence with how to incorporate this into your hectic life? A few tips that help me stay nutritious and energetic:  I ALWAYS keep snacks on me.

I have a nice mixed bag of nuts, and organic yogurt covered raisins in my glove compartment and/or purse at all times. It always comes in handy. This way, I don’t binge on my next meal. Healthy snacking helps cut the binging for sure because eating a little food every few hours stabilizes your blood sugar levels so your brain is much calmer when it sees your next meal!  I have my Erica’s To-Do List notepad in the kitchen, and it’s visible at all times. It’s my running list of whatever we’re low on. The minute I’m almost done ketchup, for example, (which is like every week), it goes on that list. Keep your healthy stuff on this list the minute you’re low. You’re much more likely to always buy the good stuff if it’s staring at you on a piece of paper at the grocery store. I try and stop eating before I’m stuffed and gorged. My friends know, I never leave any food on my plate, EVER. It’s been ingrained in my brain since I’m little. My father grew up lacking many resources, so he always cleans his plate, as do it. But the right way to go is to really stop before that full-feeling sets in. Portion control baby! The same rule for my kids applies to me. I aim for a protein, a carb, a vegetable, and a fruit with every lunch and dinner.

This has worked well for me.  If you anticipate a busy day and foresee a McDonald’s drive-through day (okay, it’s yummy), PLAN AHEAD. Make your lunch the night before. I was truly in the best shape of my life when I was working. Now that I’m at home, I snack all day or eat whatever, whenever. When I packed myself a lunch for the office, it was a nice turkey sandwich, with hummus and carrots, celery and fennel (yes I LOVE fennel, and am the only one in my family), a V8, and some pineapple. Nuts or cheese and crackers for snacks. There was portion control, and it was all energizing food. I felt and looked great.  When I look to buy new foods that I have never purchased before, I always read the ingredients. Remember, THE LONGER THE LIST, THE WORSE IT IS FOR YOU. The healthiest foods have simply one; strawberries, broccoli, oranges… catch my drift? The long lists contain MSG, sugar, salt, and more crap. My advice, take it or leave it: if you can go organic on one or two things in your life, go for organic dairy (milk, cheese, yogurt), and meats and/or poultries. I do believe in buying organic for these two, even though some studies say there is no difference.

I am a sucker, however, for pretty much all organic lines of kids snacks (even though here, I highly doubt any real difference exists). But for the other two I mentioned, I take them very seriously. I truly believe all the hormonal injections in our dairy and meats is what’s giving us cancer, and our kid’s early puberty onset. There are also pesticides in fruits and vegetables, so if budget allows, I would suggest buying the organic stuff where you eat the skin (ex; apples, strawberries, broccoli), and not necessarily the fruits and veggies like bananas and oranges, where you peel off the skin. And finally, WATER. My water bottle comes with me to many places. I fill it up along the way. Water is important. We know this already. Unfortunately, I was born with my dad’s skin, and not my mom’s, (which is creamy, milky, and always blemish-free), so I do my best to hydrate as much as possible to help with my skin. I really notice a difference in how I look and feel when I drink a ton of water. Yo, busy women! Can any of you share some of your tips that keep you lean, healthy, and energized? And thank you ladies for all your emails of concern. The grandfather is stable and alive. So, it’s the wedding weekend as usual for now. Until next time…

Unhealthy Lifestyles and Diet

An unhealthy lifestyle means more illness and more expense to treat those illnesses. This means a bigger burden on an already challenged healthcare system. Poor health also means more time lost at work, less quality recreational time, and even shorter lifep. But the people in this modern day have a mindset that takes good health for granted. One can suffer from years of aches and pains, and would just ignore them, and then feel so surprised when one finds out one has developed a serious chronic disease.

Majorities would usually leave their health to the hand of the doctors, relying on the advance medical technology, medical drugs when the fall sick. We have the choice to live a healthy lifestyle, but many chose to live just for today, enjoy life, and most of the time end up suffering in pain with chronic diseases and illnesses. Unhealthy Lifestyle There are many factors contributing to the degeneration of health among many people today. We live in a terribly polluted world.

We are all exposed to thousands of toxins and chemicals every day at work, home, in the air, and in the food that we eat and water we drink. In addition, we are eating more processed foods than ever before in human history and we constantly abuse or bodies with pharmaceuticals We are constantly bombarded by fast food at every corner. And video games have led the majority of teens to spend countless hours in front of the television being sedentary.

And, as a result of all of this, there exists a generation that is out-of-shape, overweight and obese. Many would spent hours on a couch in front of the picture box watching their favorite TV programs, together with several packets of snacks like potato chips and other junk food, and they don’t get up from your butt to move around for the next couple of hours, and that’s alright. Too much junk food being put into children’s hands.

Children were introduced to fast food restaurant at a very young age by their parent, having been brought up in this environment, they grew up spending long hours of their free time there ,chatting with friends, galloping burgers, French fries and cups of Coke, without thinking of how nutritionally deficient foods would intoxicate their body, But do children understand that junk food or snacks like potato chips, burgers and fries have high levels of fat, sugar or salt and are simply unhealthy? Junk food which contains saturated fat increases blood cholesterol levels and therefore increases your risk of heart disease and some cancers.

Smoking and drinking are two big habits that can affect your health and the way you feel. Smoking, in particular, is one habit to quit if you haven’t already because it greatly increases the risk of heart disease and cancer. Alcohol can be fine in moderation, but when you are with some good buddies in a party, you may drown yourself with glasses of them without realizing how intoxicated your body is, it also can contribute to sleep problems and suppress your appetite, preventing you from eating well. Life is full of stress.

Modern life is full of hassles, deadlines, frustrations, and demands. Work can be a stressful place, whether in an office, a factory, or a school. For many people, stress is so commonplace that it has become a way of life. Stress isn’t always bad. Some stress is good, it can help you perform under pressure and motivate you to do your best. But too much stress is bad, when you’re constantly running in emergency mode, your mind and body pay the price. The stress response also helps you rise to meet challenges. Stress is what keeps you on your toes.

But beyond a certain point, stress stops being helpful and starts causing major damage to your health, your mood, your productivity, your relationships, and your quality of life. Long-term exposure to stress can lead to serious health problems. Chronic stress disrupts nearly every system in your body. It can raise blood pressure, suppress the immune system, increase the risk of heart attack and stroke, contribute to infertility, and speed up the aging process. Long-term stress can even rewire the brain, leaving you more vulnerable to anxiety and depression.

Public are generally dependent on medical drugs and are not aware that medical drug side effects are dangerous to their health. In the world today, Many people seems to think that they just want medicines and drugs to solve their health problems, they believe they can always seek medical assistance,. But what they are not aware of is that these pharmaceutical medications may have potential adverse reactions. Some of the most popular prescription drugs on the market are used for the treatment of arious conditions such as high cholesterol to depression to rheumatoid arthritis to sexual enhancement. Some of these pharmaceuticals drugs can cause serious problems such as liver damage, muscle pain and in some cases severe muscle breakdown and even death. When you go to a medical doctor and he gives you many packs of pills and capsules in various colours, shapes and sizes, drugs which are toxic to your liver and do crazy things to your health and metabolism, perhaps you obediently swallow those little poisons without considering what they are doing to your body. Polluted Environment

The industrial revolution, technological advancement and modern transportation have seriously depleted oxygen levels in our atmosphere. Our obsession with carbon-based fuels for power generators, planes and automobiles consumes vast amounts of oxygen daily. Coupled with this is the huge reduction of our forested areas and all plant life as the need for timber and paper continues beyond our production capacity. At the present time, scientists have determined that our atmospheric oxygen concentration levels are being reduced by about 0. 8 percent every 15 years or so.

Regrettably, at the moment, there is no reason to believe that this trend is going to change. Toxic stress, toxic chemicals and air pollution (all of which are becoming more prevalent in our industrialized cities), as well as increased use of antibiotics, emotional stress (which produces adrenaline and adrenal-related hormones that use more oxygen), physical trauma (reduces circulation and oxygen supply) and infections (the body uses oxygen to fight bacteria, fungi and viruses). Frequent use of drugs also depletes your oxygen supplies at the cellular level.

A shortage of oxygen in the blood could very well be the starting point for the loss of the immune system and the beginning point of health problems like cancer, leukemia, AIDS, seizures, nerve deterioration and candida. Future research will clarify the links between poor oxygen levels and disease. Initial symptoms of oxygen deficiency may include overall weakness, fatigue, circulation problems, poor digestion, muscle aches and pains, dizziness, depression, memory loss, irrational behavior, irritability, acid stomach and bronchial complications.

When the immune system is compromised by a lack of oxygen, the body is more susceptible to opportunistic bacteria, viral and parasitic infections, colds and the flu. Oxygen deprivation can also trigger life-threatening diseases, as underscored by Nobel Laureate Dr. Otto Warburg’s assertion that cancer and other infections or diseases cannot live in an oxygen-rich environment. Poisonous agents from the household items. Our bodies are absorbing the harmful chemicals surrounding the environment today. It is thus imperative that we clean up our living environment as much as possible.

Those regular detergents, soaps, shampoos, toothpastes and perfumes that we uses today contain many chemicals which are toxic to our bodies, some even carcinogenic. Although we don’t directly ingest them, these chemicals are absorbed by our skin, other harmful chemicals such as turpentine, arsenic, insecticides, paints, etc. Again, even though we don’t ingest them, we are constantly breathing in their gaseous fumes. Lack of Exercise. You just put in a good 10 hour day in front of your computer screen, and the last thing you want to do is exercise.

Let’s see, exercise, and improve your fitness level, or sit down with a glass of wine and watch your favorite evening television show. What would you do? Seventy percent of individuals know they should exercise, but choose the wine and the television program instead. Do you know this simple daily decision can end up being detrimental to your health? Effects of irregular eating or skipping meals • Mouth ulcers • Acidity and heart burn • Nausea • Constipation • Lowered blood pressure • Elevated uric acid (kidney disease) • stresses brain and body • Fat Storage

Eating breakfast primes your metabolism and helps set its pace for the day, says Michelle A. Gordine, M. D. , author of the book “Reclaiming Our Health: A Guide to African-American Wellness. ” By contrast, skipping breakfast puts your body in starvation mode, an energy conservation setting of your body’s metabolic machinery that promotes fat storage and discourages calorie-burning. • Blood Sugar Skipping meals, particularly breakfast, can wreak havoc on your blood sugar levels. After fasting overnight, your blood sugar levels may be at their lowest ebb of the day.

Skipping this meal can result in hypoglycemia — dangerously low blood sugar — which can cause you to feel dizzy or sleepy and overeat to compensate. A spike in blood sugar from a large afternoon meal leads to a late afternoon blood sugar drop, sending you on a blood sugar roller coaster, according to Roberta Larson Duyff, author of the “American Dietetic Association Complete Food and Nutrition Guide. ” Instead, try cutting back on dinner and shifting the bulk of your calorie intake toward the first half of the day. You may find that eating this way gives you more energy when you need it the most.

After doing this for a few days you’ll naturally become hungry at breakfast time. • Malnutrition Older adults who experience decreased appetite as a function of aging may be in danger of malnutrition from skipping meals, according to nutritionist Sari Edelstein, Ph. D. , R. D. , author of the book “Life Cycle Nutrition: An Evidence-Based Approach. ” Aging also brings with it decreased nutrient absorption. The combination of the two is a recipe for potential nutritional deficiencies. Early intervention can prevent weight loss and other serious health consequences, such as osteoporosis and decreased immune function. Brain Function Maintaining even-keeled blood sugar levels ensures that your brain and muscles receive a steady supply of glucose, their preferred fuel source. Eating regular meals results in better mental acuity, learning and memory, improved work performance and better strength and endurance. Your attitude toward work or school may also improve and you might find that your demanding boss or that irritating co-worker aren’t as unreasonable as you previously thought. • Blood Sugar Drops and Spikes One of the most important reasons that skipping meals is unhealthy is due to the affect this has on your blood sugar.

When you eat a meal, your body breaks up the food. Some of this food is stored as fat, while other parts of it enter your bloodstream as sugar, and work to provide you with energy throughout the day. When you skip a meal, your blood sugar drops dramatically. This not only can make you feel sluggish and tired, but it can also wreck havoc with insulin in your body. If you chronically skip meals, you can be setting yourself up for the development of diabetes later in life. • Inadequate Nutrition Another important reason why skipping meals is unhealthy is due to the fact that you are more than likely not receiving adequate nutrition.

Eating a diet that is rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean meats helps not only to ensure that your body functions properly, but can also help in the treatment and prevention of a number of serious conditions. Some conditions that can be improved with proper nutrition include cardiovascular disease, strokes, and some types of cancer. You may believe that you can skip meals and still achieve optimal nutrition by supplementing your diet with multivitamins. And while multivitamins do have their place, research has shown that these pills aren’t as effective as real food at providing your body with what it needs.

For good health, try to eat as naturally as possible. • Altered Metabolism You typically skip meals for two main reasons. One, you are ultra busy and don’t have enough time to grab a quick snack, or two, you are trying to lose weight. If you are one of the people who are trying to lose weight, you may be actually sabotaging yourself by skipping meals. When you eat, your metabolism, which is one of your body’s functions, works to break the food down into smaller, usable parts. When you skip a meal, your metabolism has nothing to do. In a way, your metabolism is like a muscle.

You must use it, or you will “lose it. ” When your metabolism does not have to work to break down food, it begins to slow down. Then, the next time you do actually eat something, your metabolism is not able to break the food down as quickly, and as a result the food is stored as fat. Therefore, in order to maintain a healthy weight (or even lose weight), it is essential that you eat regularly throughout the day. Recent research has found that five to seven small, regularly timed meals eaten over the course of a day works best when trying to maintain a healthy weight. The Effects of Sleep Deprivation

Neurologic Effects Sleep deprivation mimics the effects of drinking alcohol — you may experience slurred speech and uncontrolled reflexive movements of the eye called nystagmus. You may also develop a slight shakiness or tremor in your hands. Some people even have a more pronounced droopiness in their eyelids, called ptosis. Various other neurological reflexes can change in sleep deprivation. These are unlikely to causes symptoms you would notice. However, if your doctor were to test them, you may have sluggish corneal reflexes, a hyperactive gag reflex, and hyperactive deep tendon reflexes.

In addition, you may have a reduced threshold for seizures. As a result, people with epilepsy are at greater risk for seizures when they’re sleep deprived. One thing that you may notice right away is an increased sensitivity to pain. Studies have shown our sensitivity to heat and pressure pain is especially enhanced when we don’t sleep enough. Also, there is reported to be an increased sensitivity to pain in our esophagus, as might occur in the setting of nighttime heartburn Vital Sign Changes Research studies have demonstrated that sleep deprivation may cause subtle changes in your vital signs.

Vital signs are important physiological markers that are often tracked as part of a general health assessment. These include: • Body temperature • Blood pressure • Heart rate • Breathing rate • Reduced decision-making skills • Poorer memory • Reduced concentration • Reduced alertness • Shortened attention p • Slower than normal reaction time • Poorer judgment • Reduced awareness of the environment and situation • Reduced work efficiency smoking, poor diet, lack of exercise and drinking too much increased the risk of dying by such a large degree that it was the equivalent to being 12 years older.

Benefits Of Healthy Lifestyle

Healthy Lifestyle In a perfect world we would all be eating the right food, exercising, sleeping well and just generally enjoying life. In the real world most of us manage a percentage of the healthy lifestyle and muddle through as best we can with the rest of it. Part of the problem is we are encouraged to think, mostly by the media, that we should be doing everything possible towards a healthy lifestyle, all of the time. For most of us this is just not possible. Constant concern about what we should or shouldn’t be doing causes our stress levels to go up and that negates any good work that we’ve done.

Yes, we should certainly try for a healthy lifestyle, but the two key words are “moderation” and “balance”. By applying these criteria to achieving a healthy lifestyle we won’t be beating ourselves up for failing another diet or dropping out of the latest exercise regime. A common mistake that many people make when they decide to adopt a healthy lifestyle is to try to do too much too soon. They then give themselves a guilt complex when it all falls apart. It is also easy to be influenced by others, when we should only be adopting a healthy lifestyle plan to suit ourselves.

Ah! Did I say lifestyle plan? Do you have one, or do you just try the next thing that is in your magazine or Sunday supplement? By all means read these articles and take them into account as you plan how you want your healthy lifestyle to take shape. Leading a healthy lifestyle doesn’t mean you have got to run a mile before breakfast, eat seeds and think pure thoughts. Great if that’s what you want, but for most of us “healthy” means being in reasonable shape, eating our fruit and vegetables and generally having a feeling of vitality.

Decide on your definition of a healthy lifestyle, and then plan a strategy that works for you. As part of my health plan I decided I wanted to walk in the mornings before breakfast, but there was no way I wanted to get up at the crack of dawn to do it. So I planned a ten minute circuit that includes a short flight of steps and a not too steep incline. I power walked that route every day and felt really good. Sure l wouldn’t make the City to Surf marathon, but I compromised and made it work for me.

Today, much is made of organic foods, but the reality is that organic food is generally more expensive and well out of the range for most budgets. Yes organic is probably the best option, but it doesn’t mean that if you’re not eating all organic you are not eating right. If you’re concerned about general produce, be a bit discerning when you shop. Look for fruit and vegetables that are fresh and unblemished. You should also buy product brands that you can trust. If you shop wisely, you can have a well-balanced healthy diet that won’t break the bank.

Basically living a healthy life means looking at your lifestyle as a whole, it is not just about diet and exercise. It is not always necessary to make major changes. Most people know their weak spots, and are happy if they can make a few changes that show results. A friend of mine was drinking several cans of soft drink a day. She was feeling tired and generally under the weather. When I read an article about the health risk of soft drink I copied it and gave it to her, whereupon she decided to give up the soft drink there and then.

A week later she got back to me and said she couldn’t believe the difference, her energy levels were up and she was feeling great. Just that one change was able to make a difference and she feels good about the healthy choice. Sleep and leisure time play a big part in a healthy lifestyle,  and for the most part people underestimate the value of good sleep. Our bodies aren’t designed to operate at peak performance twenty four hours a day. Anyone in industry knows that machines that have to work continuously need a lot of maintenance.

When we are sleeping our body is healing and regenerating itself and we should wake up feeling refreshed and revitalized. We can go without sleep for extended periods, but we can’t do it indefinitely. The amount of sleep an individual needs varies a great deal, and there is no such thing as the right time to sleep. Obviously most people sleep at night, but if you are one of those folk that comes alive in the small hours, you might need to catch up with your sleep during the day. A big part of healthy living is being comfortable with yourself.

Don’t be pressured into trying to attain a certain look, or push yourself down a career path you are not suited to. Constant worry about what you are doing will only have the opposite effect on your health. Don’t get paranoid about your diet, about what toothpaste you should use or about expensive exercise equipment you need to buy. Allow a common sense approach to dictate when you are making lifestyle choices, and remember, there is nothing wrong with compromise if it means your healthy lifestyle plan will work for you.
