Illustrados in Succeeding in the Construction of Filipino Nation
In my critical essay essay, I will show and present the ideas of the illustrados, by making some progress that contributed to the value of the Filipino nation, as well as their political ideas to develop and inspire Filipinos to appreciate and fight for the national sentiment of the Philippines.moreover, before I start all that, on how it all happened and how their ideas shaped the Filipino nation. I just wanted to let you know and understand what Illustrados really means, where they started, who they are and so on.
they were a Filipino class, in which they had a good and popular mind, they were attentive, intelligent, and well-written in which they molded themselves into good schools during the Spanish colonial era in the late 19th century, and that’s just why they were called the ‘enlightened ones’ or the illustrados. That’s the reason why they’re called Illustrados.
they were a Filipino class, in which they had a good and popular mind, they were attentive, intelligent, and well-written in which they molded themselves into good schools during the Spanish colonial era in the late 19th century, and that’s just why they were called the ‘enlightened ones’ or the illustrados. That’s the reason why they’re called Illustrados. they were middle men, who knew and possessed aspects of European nationalism, as well as pish liberty. however, they are capable of this and know the ideas that I have stated, for this reason they have been taught and graduated in Spain during that time. In this regard, I will single out every popular Illustrados, such as their early life, writings and contributions.
They are Jose Rizal, Marcelo H. Del Pilar, and Lopez, and my priority of these Illustrados mentioned, is that of the most famous or our national hero Jose Rizal, Jose Rizal’s background shows how he built his skills for writing and providing support as a freedom of our nation, and a few years later, he had obtained many degrees, had also completed medicine and eventually obtained another degree in Germany, called a doctorate. however, after all this, he went and spent ten years in Europe, and wrote novels, all his life while he was in Europe.
He has produced many novels, and one of his works is the Nole Mi tangere. and it was completed in berlin in 1887, in this sense the purpose of this novel, is to encourage people who are blind to what is happening and how to avoid and fight against the abuse they suffered by the Spaniards in the colonial era. so that’s why it was a threat to members and catholic church officials and Spaniards, in this sense, that they were offended and instead he was forgiven, calling him a trouble maker at that time. Conflict erupted between Dr Jose Rizal’s novel, known as Noli Me tangere and the Catholic Church.
Because of the acquisitiveness and sacrilege of the Spanish in the Philippines. this is just the practices of colony government controlled education in the Philippines, with only limited high quality education in the hands of Catholic Church and it is only under the clerical or pastoral direction. and very few of the students here learn to speak and write Spanish. and far fewer could speak it properly.
But during the 1880’s, rich people were able to educate their children, sending them to foreign countries like Europe. and there, the potential for nationalism in the mind, heart, and spirit and efficiency of the reform is really fertile and flourishing in the liberal atmosphere. Furthermore to the talent and excellence of this Filipino student who has been gifted and given the opportunity to study abroad, has gradually come to be known as Propaganda, poetry, novel / s (which brings justice and awareness to the eyes of the Filipino in unfavorable circumstances), political issues, poetry thrive and grow.
And what has made a great and lasting impact on our country is Jose Rizal’s brilliant step, through his two novels, Elfelibusterismo in 1891 which means Reign of Greed, an example of which I have stated earlier, in abuse of the Catholic church over education. and one such novel is the Noli Me tangere that has been mentioned over and over again. and in addition, Jose rizal inspired Bonifacio in a field of writings, who would give hope to people, people who lack knowledge and difficulty understanding pish, through poetry, because the katagalugan understand it better when they get their emotions through poetry and superficial writing.
That you almost feel the same way as jose rizal wrote. and one of them is titled ‘Pag-ibig sa tinubuang lupa’ reminding every katagalugan that they will not be dazzled and attracted by the promises made by Spanish colonizer, that they will be taught and improved by writing, fighting, but while the length of time seems to be getting worse and the suffering of the Filipinos is increasing, that in the end, they are still being abused, deceived and mercilessly cruel. so that’s just why andress bonifacio ( a leader and self educated), and his activists who were formed as ‘Katipunan’ were shocked when he and jose rizal were arrested in 1892.
The group led by Andress Bonifacio is dedicated to ousting all the Spanish in the Philippines. in which they formed a revolutionary movement, there were many rebels during the pish rules, but for the first time, it inspired nationalist ambitions to take the necessary education that would bring true success to everyone.
