Having Received All the Memory From The Donor

Dear Fiona, You are probably confused and wondering if I am dead. I am writing this letter to tell you I am still alive, and I have found ‘Elsewhere.” I hope you understand that I had to make life choices, which is why I left you. In this letter, I am going to tell you everything about it. The community that we live in is a world that eliminated all pain, war, fairness and hatred. They erase our emotions by medication. Which sadly means we are in a world without color, pain and feelings, but we can’t even noticed! The community thinks they have protected us from harm; indeed, they have created a place without danger or pain, but the truth is that of us cannot expose the wonderful aspects of life. Since people that live in our society have never experienced suffering or pain, they have no idea what the real joy of life is.

But I do, after receiving all the memory from the giver, I realize the importance of memory, we can’t live without it. I felt happiness, even it requires pain, I feel alive for the first time. I have emotions, that’s why I fall in love with you, too. I wish I could give that feeling of cheerfulness to the people I love. We can’t just limiting people’s freedom to avoid pain, all the negative aspects in our life are necessary, everything in life has its own polar opposite and that is what makes life, life. This is my decision, Fiona. When I figured out the meaning of human life, I promise myself to do anything I could to bring the real life back to our community. Life is neither good nor evil, but they define each other. I don’t want to live in a world without feelings, I chose to live my life.

The matter is to choose which is important, isn’t it? Darling, you might feel panic at first, I know it’s hard to face the dark side of the world, but it is the necessary process of life, people need to suffer from unsettled emotion and to move forward, to be strong. At first, people are scared to accept new responsibilities and feelings, afraid of getting hurt and being unhappy; instead of facing and dealing with all bad and good, they choose to avoid, hide, feel nothing, but then it is not life anymore, without emotions, we are not even human being. This is why I left, people in our community have never felt pain or grief and have no idea to cherish the true wonder and joys in their lives, I want to bring them back to life, let them to know how precious life is and so they will understand that death is tragic, to appreciate life. The giver explained me the relationship between pain and pleasure.

When I receive memories from the Giver, the memories of pain made me realize the idea of love and pleasure too, they exist together. Therefore we can’t give up the experience of beauty, joy, and love to end pain and suffering. I wanted to tell you that I love you and I do care a lot about you. I know you may be shocked by reading, but don’t worry, the giver will help people in the community to deal with memories. Now, we have our life and feelings, no matter the flaws, all of us, are still living. I wish you were here with me, hope to see you one day. I really do miss you! Love, Jonas

The Love That I Gave You, And no Matter What Happens, You Will Never Let Me Go

Please know this took every part of me to send this, and I’m sorry it’s so late I hope things will be okay between us. I have already tried figuring out what’s going on with us, only to be left reading. It seems like the main thing you’ve been doing lately. I don’t know if it’s on purpose like you’re trying to distance yourself away from me. I don’t even know why I’m surprised, I don’t blame you. It’s what everyone does to me because fuck Angelina’s feelings right. I’m sorry that I’m broken and damaged and awkward but I promise you, I loved you with my whole heart. You’re the one person who taught me how to love. The was one who actually loved me back, the one who never really left my side, despite everything you gave me a purpose in life and I have to thank you for that, for everything.

Thank you for being there when I needed you. Thank you for being there to push me when I didn’t want to keep going. Thank you for being there to support me and hold my hand through everything I was afraid of. Thank you for never judging me, or using my weaknesses against me. Thank you for not using me and for always treating me with the utmost care and respect. Thank you for loving me and never letting me down. Thank you for showing me a world of beauty and being with me as I began to love it as well. Thank you for showing me my new world of confidence and self-love. Thank you for always finding a reason to stay even if I told you to go. Thank you for seeing the potential that I have. Thank you for encouraging me. thank you for being with me. Thank you for everything you have ever done for me.

I looked through our conversations when we used to be on cloud nine and in love, these were the times you told me how lucky you are to have a girl like me, how thankful you are because you never received such love I was giving to you and whatever happens, you will never let me go. When our numerous songs decide to play on my playlists, I still think of you. Sneaking you over to my house to watch big hero six. Fucking around in Kohls’s. The wholesome memes we spammed each other with. The words you said. They meant everything to me and it stabs my heart, to realize that those words don’t seem to mean anything anymore. Hell, they aren’t even said anymore. The pain is too heavy to bear, the love I believed to be true is gone. We used to be over the moon, but the present tells us the opposite. This is stupid of me to say but, I won’t deny the fact that I miss you so much. I love you, I still do. But somehow, I’ve come to the thought that I can’t do anything anymore, I need to let you go because it’s the right thing to do.

I’ve decided to finally move on and this would be the last time I would try for us with my all because there is nothing left to hold on to and I can’t hold on to something that doesn’t want to be held. Yeah, it does hurt to know you lost interest in me, kind of like someone punching me in the face. And it also does pain me to walk pass you, not knowing what we are. we are fading. Which feels like a knife through my chest. But what truly hurts the most, is that I can’t even find the words to explain it, is that you seemed to distance yourself without a single word. and I keep waiting for a sign or something from you, but I should accept that sometimes, no message is also a message. I’m sorry but this way, we both will be better off. You’ll still always be my speedster even if you don’t want to be in my life after this.

Love and Hatred in Romeo and Juliet

William Shakespeare’s classic, “Romeo and Juliet” (c. 1595) was transformed into the film “Romeo + Juliet” (1996) directed by Baz Luhrmann. The play was set in Verona, Italy (the Renaissance period). The film blends contemporary setting and characters with Shakespeare’s poetic dialogues. It was shot at Verona Beach, Los Angeles.

Shakespeare’s quintessential tragedy portrays love and hatred irrational. The film escalates the importance of these themes by using more physicality and sensuality. However, both composers depict how hatred was built by the love for their families and love was denied by the hatred between them.

The important scenes of love are Act I Scene V where Romeo meets Juliet and the balcony scene (Act II Scene II). Act III Scene I (fight scene) is a significant scene of hatred.

These ideas are presented using various language forms and features in the play and using film techniques in the movie.

The play, “Romeo and Juliet” by Shakespeare represents love as boundless and immortal. It is neither restricted by enmity nor forsaken for conflict. Eventually, love terminates grudge. The protagonists – Romeo and Juliet in the meeting scene and the balcony scene portray love. The perspectives of love are predominantly present through metaphors and imagery.
In the balcony scene, Romeo and Juliet express their unconditional love for each other.

Juliet says, “My bounty is as boundless as the sea, My love as deep; the more I give to thee, The more I have, for both are infinite.” The use of the simile helps the audience to perceive that her love for Romeo is deep and profound like the sea. Like the vast, unimaginable expanse of the sea, her true feelings for Romeo cannot be quantified. Juliet draws a comparison with nature that signifies purity. The star-crossed lovers sacrifice their lives for their parents’ feud just as nature serves and sacrifices for others.

In the meeting scene, Romeo says “If I profane with my unworthiest hand, This holy shrine, the gentle sin is this: My lips, two blushing pilgrims, ready stand, To smooth that rough touch with a tender kiss”. He calls Juliet a saint as she is not only his lover but also his god. Romeo uses strong religious imagery to describe how sacred Juliet was. Religious references again symbolise purity and divinity. In the olden days, god was considered the most powerful and irrational. No human behaviour could control his actions. Similarly, by describing Juliet sacred and godly, Romeo expresses that his love is holy and no enmity can separate them.

The idea of love as fire and fumes juxtaposes it being holy. Love has the same nature as fire. Love is endless, just like fire, which has no limit and keeps burning. The metaphor used by Romeo, “Love is a smoke made with fume of sighs; Being purged, a fire sparkling in lover’s eyes;” is evidence of this perspective of love. Metaphors are succinct but imply great meaning. They provide a stronger description with a lasting impact on the audience.

Romeo has used a range of metaphors in his soliloquy to compare Juliet’s splendour with nature and other beings. Along with that, visual imagery is used to enhance the audience’s perception. It gives the reader a visual picture that is unforgettable. Romeo says, “So shows a snowy dove trooping with crows, As yonder lady o’er her fellow shows” in the meeting scene. The contrast made with white doves and black crows easily distinguishes Juliet’s beauty from the others. Symbolism is also used to develop a fondness for the character. Doves are a symbol of love and peace. Likewise, Juliet and Romeo were indirect peacemakers.

Therefore, love is depicted eternal using various language forms and features in the play. And, hatred is suppressed by expressing love.

In the film, “Romeo + Juliet” the perspectives of love are presented partially as the play. Love is depicted infinite using film techniques like motifs and cinematography. The film also conveys that love is pure and divine using more physicality for a contemporary audience.

Romeo and Juliet meet each other in the bathroom near a fish tank, unlike the play. The water in the tank is a motif for holiness and innocence in love. A motif is a symbol that supports the storyline and establishes a theme or mood. The fish pond behaves like a bridge between the lovers. In the play, Romeo states that Juliet is sacred; therefore, even his love is divine. Baz Luhrmann uses this visual technique to reproduce the same effect.

Again, when the couple get plunged into the swimming pool; water becomes the motif of their love. It provides a romantic environment where they develop feelings for each other. Water also increases the sensuality of the scene. The lovers are purged from their family feud as water has cleansing properties. They forget the havoc above their secret underwater world as love was not forbidden here. Along with the motif, the gradual movement of the camera around them creates a relaxed sensation. The film practically depicts how the fondness for each other was immeasurable like the sea; however, in the play, Juliet expresses this through words.

The cinematography in the elevator scene depicts Romeo and Juliet heavenly. When they passionately kiss each other, the camera revolves around them. The dolly shot allows the viewer to feel a certain intimacy with a character, and feel more present in the scene. The elevator levitates them into their eternal world of love. Also, the lighting of the scene adds onto to the dreamy atmosphere. The play uses religious imagery to show the sanctity in love. The lighting and filming magnify the effect in the movie.

Paris and Juliet dance at the ball as Romeo watches from afar. Juliet feels uncomfortable and tries to throw glances at Romeo. Luhrmann has used the costuming of the characters to reflect their roles. Costuming is the best way to express the individuality of the characters. Paris is dressed an astronaut to symbolise his wealth and popularity. However, he is not heavenly. Romeo is the ‘knight in shining armour’ to rescue Juliet from her constrained lifestyle at the Capulet household. No one can easily woo Juliet thus she is depicted angelically. The film clearly distinguishes the title characters from others, unlike the play where this effect is almost obscure.

Therefore, the perspectives of love in the film are presented more sensual using cinematic techniques than the play.

In the play, hatred is considered illogical as it was developed by the affection for their households. The composer has used the context of the play to depict how honour had crucial importance in their lives. Preserving one’s dignity was the ultimate reason for violence. So, honour and hatred were inextricable from their souls.

The antagonist (Tybalt), Mercutio and Romeo in the fight scene represent hatred. There are a variety of literary devices that encapsulate these perspectives.

Visual imagery is used to appeal to the reader’s visual insight. In the introductory scene (Act I Scene I), Tybalt says, “What, drawn, and talk of peace! I hate the word as I hate hell, all Montagues, and thee”. Tybalt refuses to talk of peace after drawing his sword as he considers it an insult to the Capulets. Moreover, the relation of the Montagues to hell describes how hatred for them intricately was bound with their souls. Their rivalry was a part of the social fabric.

Romeo says, “Here’s much to do with hate, but more with love. Why then, O brawling love, O loving hate” in the same scene. The oxymoron produces a dramatic effect and provokes the reader’s thought. Attachment and love are more powerful than hate. Actions of love can either reinforce conflict or suppress it. Shakespeare skilfully evokes the idea of how love enhances hatred in that situation.

Mercutio was Romeo’s best friend. When Tybalt murders him, peaceful Romeo becomes victim to uncontrolled anger. Romeo is compelled to give up his calm nature and fight for his friendship as well as masculine honour. Love and affection distinctly force humans to react violently. Personification makes non-living things appear more relevant to the audience by pertaining to human qualities. In the fight scene Romeo says, “And fire-eyed fury be my conduct now!” that presents the perspective of hatred.

Metaphors are a dominant technique in the play. They develop pictures in the reader’s mind and have an enduring impact even though they are concise. Mercutio says, “They have made worms’ meat of me” in the same scene. Mercutio was offended more than the Montague family by Tybalt’s insult to Romeo. Again, for preserving his dignity and for the true friendship for Romeo, he shed his blood. He describes how he would become food for the worms after being buried.

Enmity is portrayed as irrational. Preserving masculinity and their family honour was the major reason for hatred and brutality. These perspectives of hatred are presented using various literary devices.

The themes of hatred are presented wholly in the film as well. The film emphasises the importance of honour for their families. It also depicts how violence for honour can be fatal. There is more commotion in the movie than the play. These themes are displayed using motifs, pathetic fallacy and filming.

The fight scene between Mercutio, Romeo and Tybalt shows how fighting to preserve their pride leads to brutal killing. Fast paced editing and the background music increases tension and excitement. Editing builds suspense and emotional connection with the audience. Music is a powerful tool in creating and enhancing the vigorous mood and atmosphere. The play has the same pace as all the other scenes. The film constantly changes the pace and music of each scene to maintain the thrill.

When Romeo chases Tybalt, the camera focuses on the tattoo of Jesus Christ on Abra. This close-up shot shows how love also played a critical role in cruelty. Along with the close-up, slow motion added to the drama and gives time for the viewer to carefully analyse its importance. The film repeatedly uses religious imagery by showing idols of Jesus and shrines. The repetition of imagery in the film shows how religion and love for god were supposed to promote peace but actually, it encouraged killing. Religious imagery is less eminent in the play.

In the scene where Romeo shoots Tybalt, a storm following heavy rain occurs. The storm is a symbol of violence and sadness. Pathetic fallacy is used to relate nature or non-living objects with human emotions and traits. Luhrmann manifests the emotional intensity of Tybalt’s death with a turbulent storm. It widens the viewer’s empathy. The extended close up again focuses on Romeo’s wrongdoing. Romeo kills Tybalt for his friend, Mercutio’s death. Thus, love made him slaughter his enemy. The death of Mercutio and Tybalt was set in the same scene in the play. The continuous commotion in the scene reduced its severity and the extraordinary effect. The film, however, splits the death scenes, therefore, building tension. And, the impact is enduring.

Water was a motif of purity and love until Romeo killed Tybalt. The continuation of the killing scene, Tybalt falls into the previously unseen pond. The blood flows into the water, and symbolically Romeo and Juliet’s relationship is now tarnished by the deaths and the family’s hatred. The scene is set in the late evening when it’s dark. The key lighting is low, creating a dark and sad mood. The audience can understand that their love is tainted and Romeo’s life is ruined. The play has less impact as the death of Tybalt is not stressed as it is in the movie.

Therefore, the film presents the same perspectives as the play but, with everlasting impact. The film uses more fierceness as well as religious iconography.

Love and hatred are universal themes in the play Romeo and Juliet and the film, Romeo + Juliet. Both texts convey that hatred arose from love and love was forbidden by hatred. The scenes that showed love are the meeting scene and the balcony scene. Hatred is depicted in the fight scene.

Love and enmity are both unreasonable. Love is not disowned for violence and actually, terminated animosity. The perspectives of love are presented partially in the film. The film focuses more on the innocence and purity in love.

Preserving masculinity was the main reason for hatred. Also, dignity was inevitable in their lives. These ideas of hate are presented wholly in the film.

Baz Luhrmann’s film was an aggressively modern and dynamic transformation of the play. The rich Elizabethan language along with modern context easily entertained the audience.
These themes were presented using various language forms and features in the play and using film techniques in the movie.

What is Success and Where is the Key to It

Success is a key aspect in every sphere of our life. Everyone wants to be successful, however, not all can attain it. As this subject matter presents a huge area for questions on it, what is success, how to be successful, what makes you successful, and what are three major things to be successful? Success has many different definitions, synonyms, ways it could be obtained, and ways it could be told. Success is not just one thing or has a specific way it could be upheld. However, it is not enough to simply decide that as being successful; you may even need to additionally hear or read about someone’s success. Also, a way to know success is knowing what success is to you. So, let us see if you can decide what success means to you.

“What is the definition of success?” they say. First, the favorable outcome of something attempted; meaning you accomplished something that you took a chance on. Then, attainment of wealth, fame, etc., basically states what type of lifestyle you could have due to success. Last, a person or thing that is successful, which could be something that was created or even gifted to you or someone else. It is all just a bunch of definitions, no one truly knows what success is but you.

People ask this question all the time, “How do I become successful?”. Well there are many different answers to that question. First, you will have to muzzle your ego. Muzzling your ego may sound stupid, but a lot of people that cannot handle being successful just end up failing due to the fact they just were big-headed about the situation. Having a great ego is wonderful because you know within yourself, you are great, but others see you as someone who is coming into a great individual.

Always remember, that too big of an ego can bring you down. Then there is, being the first. Being the first means what it says. It is best to be the first because it is something new that you are bringing to the people’s eyes. When you are the first you are more likely to be more recognized. It is just like a race; the winner is usually the first. Also, you have the main key, Focus. The best way to be successful is to have a focused mindset. My mother always told me “A focused man is the most successful man.”. If you can do these things, you might just become successful.

Another question that is frequently asked is, “What makes you successful?”. What makes you successful is doing something you love and doing it well. There is this saying, “If you do what you love, you’ll never work a day in your life.”, meaning that if doing something that is corresponded to you it will hardly feel like work. If it corresponds with you it is more likely that you will try to improve it because we as people, try to improve ourselves every year. Then there is, being a person of action. Action is taking a step out on faith to see where you could go. If you have no type of action you have no type of success. Lastly, cultivate positive relationships. Trying to be a successful person you need to have connections. You need positive energy surrounding you because people that do not have anything going for themselves can bring you with them.

A vision could help you to become successful. A vision is having the wisdom to see past certain events in expectation of a greater outcome. When you create yourself a vision you need to include these seven into your vision. First, is the entire body. When people think body, they think physical; well that may be true that is not the only thing. When we talk about the body, we are talking about your health and physical appearance.

Describe how you want to feel, live, and look like. Second, your mind and emotions. Talk about the attitude/behavior you want to have, beliefs, your philosophy, experience of life, and the positive emotions you want to have. Third, relationships; talk about family, love ones, and friends. Fourth, what career/business you would like. In this you need to think like a kid, have fun, and choose something that makes you happy.

Fifth, the money, “Finances”. Talk about what you will do with the money, what will it look like, and how you will manage it. Sixth, Social which is almost the same as relationships. In this one you would talk about what you would like to do with individuals. Seventh, the final, spiritual. Spiritual is honesty an open discussion for yourself. These are the main seven steps to plan out a successful life vision.

Having a purpose to your vision is also a key to being successful. Purpose is an aim to one’s self to determine upon some end or object to be accomplished. When having a purpose in life you feel better about yourself. People take life more seriously when they know there is a purpose for them. Even, in the church they say, “God has a purpose for each individual.”.

Lastly, if you have goals set for yourself that could help towards success. Let us read about other people success.

He won repute in the neighborhood civil rights neighborhood using organizing a bus boycott, recognized around the United States of America as the Sir Bernard Law Bus Boycott.

However, whilst X and his followers fought in an aggressive, abrasive manner, King retained a focal point on peaceable protesting that made him finally extra influential with the public. The De la Garza tradition was that the youngest daughter had to stay in the house of her mother and take care of her till the day the mother died, which means that the daughter could not get married. Unfortunately for Tita she was the youngest and her mother was health as a flying bird. Pedro was madly in love with Tita, and Tita with Pedro, he wanted to take her hand in marriage, but in order to do this he has to ask her mother, Mama Elena, since her farther is dead. Going by tradition Mama Elena said no, but she did then ask him if he wants Rousara Tita sister instead. Thinking that by marriage Tita’s sister he would be close to her. Tita had to be part of the wedding if she liked it or not, according to Mama Elena.

While Tita and Nacha were preparing the batter for the cake Tita told her mother that it would be best if she didn’t attend the wedding. Mama Elena then told her that she was and that she could not cry at the wedding. After her mother left Tita began to cry above the batter, and tears fell into the cake batter. It was after the wedding at the basic wedding party, Nacha brought out the cake. Everyone got a piece, after the first bites looks of sickness were produced on everyone’s once happy face. They all got sick and ran to the river side and threw up, making Rosaura’s wedding like deserter island. Although the author doesn’t say it was because of Tita’s tears, but we can say that it was because at that time Tita was angry at Pedro for marry Rosaura, and she was jealous of Rosaura because she was allowed to marry Pedro.

So because of the way Tita felt people got sick. the Magic is use not only as a way to hurt someone but also to make them feel good. A few weeks after the wedding Pedro tried to do whatever he could do to make Tita feel his love. One day Pedro had an idea of bring Tita a bouquet of roses, and his excuse was to celebrate her first year as ranch cook. Rosaura pregnant at the time though she should get rose and angry ran out of the room. Mama Elena with “just a look” sent Tita to get rid of the roses. Tita thinking they were to beautiful to throw away but then Tita heard Nacha’s voice, Nacha is dead at this time, telling her a recipe involving rose petals.

After the meal was cooked Gertrudis, Tita, Rosaura, Pedro, and Mama Elena sat down to eat. Gertudis began to run, naked she was, ran out to a man on a horse named Juan who she later married and had children with also.

Even though Rosaura got sick, the whole town smelled like roses from Gertudis sweat, meaning that the magic does not only cause bad things to happen but also good as well. The Steve Jobs Commencement Speech During 2005

The Steve Jobs commencement speech was a speech that the then Apple Inc. CEO gave at Stanford University during the 114th commencement on 12th June 2005. He gave the address to the students, terming them, “…graduates from one of the finest universities in the world.” The address focused mainly on his personal life and success in what he termed 3 stories from his life. The speech was divided into three main parts where Jobs focuses on different stints in his life. In the “first story”, Jobs talked about how he dropped out of college and why this happened.

He explained that he dropped out of Reed College within 6 months of joining and went ahead to show up once in a while for the next 18 months before quitting completely. He starts by telling the graduates about how his young biological mother had decided to put him up for adoption to college graduates only. The story also entailed how after birth the lawyer and his wife refused to adopt jobs because he was a boy hence; the next parents on the waiting list were called. Her mother had refused to sign adoption papers on realizing that the would-be parents were not graduates.

By introducing his first story from his early life, jobs wanted to attract the attention of the students and make them understand that the course of his life did not start when he became a CEO but when he was born. He goes ahead to tell the students on why he dropped out of college and how he survived during that time. Jobs explained that he had dropped out of college after 6 months because he had did not find it worthy that his parents would pay their life savings for his education yet he had no idea what to do in his life. He further gives an account of how he survived on the 5 cents he got from returning coke bottles and how he slept on the floor in his friends’ room. In this part of the speech, Jobs tries to convince the students that life was never easy at the beginning and that dropping out of college was a good idea considering he had no idea what he wanted to do in life.

Jobs brings in the concept of following intuition and curiosity and how important it had turned out in his future. He gives the example of his interest in calligraphy and how he went to calligraphy classes because he loved them. The fact that these skills turned out to be important a decade later when they were making the Macintosh computer demonstrates how Jobs believed in intuition. This example demonstrates to the graduating students how important it is to believe in oneself. He asserts this when he tells them that they have to trust in something, be it their destiny, gut, karma or life because this approach had worked for him.

In his second story, Jobs talks about loss and love. He explains how he started Apple in his parents’ garage and how he meets a beautiful woman who would then become his wife. In a turn of events, he tells of how he gets fired from Apple and how bad it feels. His main point is to explain why it is important to handle losses in a positive way. Jobs had not given up after getting fired because he loved what he did. So he started NeXT and Pixar. These companies would then merge with Apple in future and He would marry and have a good family. The point behind this story is to make the graduating students understand that doing what they love is the best thing they can do. His passion for innovation made him to move on from his loss and start a new company. In the end, his love for technology makes him reunite with Apple and become successful. He wants the students to look for what they love doing and pursue it.

He wants them to be determined to be successful. In his third story, Jobs talks about the importance of having goals in life. He refers to a quote that he came across when he was 17 and has kept it in mind ever since. He explains the importance of knowing what your objectives is and how it helps one achieve their goals. He gives his story of how he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and how the doctors had removed the cancer cells from his pancreas. He simply wants his audience to be guided by a purpose in life and go about their business knowing that their time on earth is limited. He signs off by telling the students about the magazine he read during the 1970s and how it had inspired him. Generally, Jobs uses the three stories to give important life lessons to the graduating students based on his life. In the first story, he urges them to trust or believe in something in their life. The second story focuses on identifying and doing what they love and how to handle losses. Lastly, he talks about the importance of having a purpose in life and to spend their time wisely because life is short.

The Lllusuion Of Love

As small children, we are told fairytales about how the charming prince saves the princess and after only a short time period, a wedding commences. What we are not informed is that these stories are nowhere near the truth. We are not told about the heartache and tear-stained pillow cases that would follow. As we grow, so does our reality of theses stories being only an illusion of love. In most dictionaries, the definition is sadness or grief but it is so much more than that. It is not just emotion, but also a process.

In order to experience heartbreak, you must be in love, even if it’s the slightest bit. Being in love is one of the most amazing feelings. You get the anxiety, the thrill, and the laughter as if you are on a ride at an amusement park. Although this may seem great, falling in love with the wrong person comes with losing close friends due to your partners opinion of them. Your goals and aspirations either get put on hold or even replaced for this lover. Jail time doesn’t seem so bad with this relationship. You will put this person before anything and anyone. This is the first step in the process because once that romance is gone, you are left with ended friendships, bad decisions and disappointment. You are left with an aching pain.

When your heart gets broken, it starts off with missed calls and ignored text messages until that reality hits. You begin to wonder how to function without that other person because you are so use to their presence. You question how to get up in the morning because the previous night, you were up late crying, smearing mascara onto your white, silk pillowcases. A heartbreak is the feeling of emptiness, a pitch black whole burned into your heart. Your breathing feels as if you are breathing for a thousand others. The world feels as if it is coming to an end and you no longer feel as your own person. The feeling of loneliness still manages to approach. You begin to wonder if you are worth being on this world. You lose yourself trying love another. You then begin to get angry, you start speaking hateful words about this person that you use to talk about like they put the stars in the sky.

This anger turns into insecurity. All the compliments such as “You are beautiful” have left with that person so when you finally face the mirror, you see yourself as worthless. The effort you put in yourself no longer seems…effortless.. After what seems forever, you begin to breath normally and smile but you still feel insecure. A heartbreak is not always a negative thing because when you’re out of tears to cry, you are left with thoughts. Those thoughts soon turn into knowledge of the fact that your worth is more than that boy or girl. You begin to notice the many ways that person SHOULD have treated you. Last but not least, you realize that you loved them or the wrong reasons.

The final stage of a heartbreak is the acceptance and moving on. When you are able to accept that person is not going to come back and beg for your forgiveness, you must move on with your life. If you were good before someone entered your life, you will be perfectly fine once they exit. When love arrives, you must hold open the door, be kind. Never forget that not all love stays, so when it’s time to say goodbye, show it out and say ‘thank you or coming’. This will eventually lead you into finding someone. This someone will be known as your true love. Instead of loving their blue eyes, you’ll love the way their pupil grows when they look at you. You will love this person because their hand fits in yours perfectly, they will remember your birthday, and instead of changing or avoiding your goals, they will inspire you achieve them. You will do the same in return.
