The Importance of the First Impressions of Playa Azul

How long does it take to make a first impression? There are some answers that it only takes seven seconds or a day to make an opinion about something but it all depends on the person. The first impression of Playa Azul was it was good-natured. The service was helpful, the food was splendid and the mood was friendly. The staff was thoughtful. They were skillful in their job. When the server brought the food on the tray it was balanced perfectly. They would know when we needed a refill and they would dash back to the table. Staff were knowledgeable about the menu. The Life, Survival and Perseverance of the Olympic Runner and Prisoner of War, Louie Zamperini in the Book Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand

He had then set his sights on the 1940 Olympic Games. Germany and Japan were exerting their power over other nations and the Games were canceled. Louie was then drafted into the air corps and becomes a bombardier. The U.S. entered the war after the bombing of Pearl Harbor in December 1941. Louie and two other fighters, Phil and Mac, crashed in the sea and spend 46 days there. Mac had died from the heat and starvation before Louie and Phil’s eyes on the raft. They drifted 2000 miles west of where they crashed. They saw what they thought was land, but it turned out to be a Japanese boat.

They were captured and taken as POW’s. Louie and Phil were kept in horrible conditions but they survived. At the end of September 1944, Louie was told he and some of the other POW’s were being moved. Phil was sent to a camp in Zentsuji. Louie and the others were sent to Omoni, a small island in Tokyo Bay. While at the camp, Louie met The Bird, a sadistic leader at that camp. He was known for his anger, but he had extreme anger towards Louie. He beat Louie continuously. The Bird haunted Louie for the rest of his life. The Bird finally had left the camp his life was still hard, but wasn’t as bad since Bird had left.

Louie was then sent to Naoetsu and realized that The Bird was there as well. On August, 1 1945, the largest Air Raid took place. Five days later the Atomic bomb was dropped. Louie became very ill, but realizes the war is finally over. He was sent home and he met Cynthia Applewhite and the two end up getting married. Louie had a hard time adjusting to life and started drinking heavily. Cynthia leaves him and he decides he wanted to change his life. He worked hard and totally turned his life around. But the biggest hurdle that Louie had to face during his time of being a prisoner of war, would be his starvation and the diseases that followed with the starvation, even over The Bird, who tormented him for so long. Starvation is found everywhere and is a seemingly never ending battle.

We Americans, for the most part, are able to get whatever, whenever, wasting absurd amounts of money on things that are the most expensive. Food water, clothing, and other pricy objects. America is the king of waste. If we took a look at any third world country, such as some countries in Africa, we would realize how little effort it would take for us to save millions of lives with the things we buy and waste on. But coming from Louie’s point of view of being stranded at sea to being imprisoned, starving at both places is inevitable.

He did what he really could at sea for scavenging for food, capturing albatross to raw sharks and fish. But it wasn’t good enough as he got sick from the sea water also suffering from malnutrition. Even after his rescue from the enemy, he was still mistreated and starved by guards and others even though they came across a few nice guards and even a camp. They had a guard named Kawamura, who identifies himself as a Christian. He befriends them and shows them kindness, giving them some candy to initiate friendship. Kawamura learns that when he was off duty, another guard rammed a stick into Louie’s face, trying to put out his eyes.

Two days later, Louie and Phil see that Kawamura had beat up the abusive guard who never guarded them again. One Prisoner of War camp holds a Thanksgiving service when they hear of the war’s end. A pilot says he and his crew felt like they were the hand of providence when they dropped food to the POWs. Food was a weapon in World War 2. It turns out that during World War 2, over 20 million people died from starvation ormalnutrition and its associated diseases. This rivals the number of military deaths during World War 2.

I guess the “good war” wasn’t so “good” after all. Other diseases that Louie had was Beriberi and Dysentery. Beriberi refers to a cluster of symptoms caused primarily by a nutritional deficit in Vitamin B1 or Thiamine. Beriberi has conventionally been divided into three separate entities, relating to the body system mainly involved in the exterior nervous system or cardiovascular system or age of patient, such as an infant. Historically, beriberi has been endemic in regions dependent on what is variously referred to as polished, white, or de-husked rice.

Food Insecurity in The Presence of Nutritious Food

Health is a powerful tool that every individual living in society needs in order to live a healthy life, not only being physical but also psychologically, emotionally and mentally. Health is defined as “wealth”, meaning good health care is mostly provided to prosperous people which I believe is unfair because each individual needs to be taken care of any health issues they’re going through for a healthy living. There is a saying that, “When proper health care is given to only the wealthy people, you save just one person but when everyone is given better health care, you save the world”. This is because the community is not meant for only one person and if someone has health difficulties is most likely that the other person may be affected. Therefore we all need each other’s support to promote our health.

Urban health is defined as “the study of the health of urban population” which includes the description of the health of the urban population and understanding the determinants of population health in cities. In urban communities, some traits are large in size and high density of the population. The urban population is higher as compared to rural communities, urban communities have a huge diversity with a lot of people from different races such as Africans, Asians, and Mexicans. Also, there is a form of social hierarchy in urban communities such as the rich and the poor.

In my community, the Bronx. The Bronx suffers from a lot of health issues which include obesity, causing cardiovascular disease, and other chronic health issues. This is because they fail to live a healthy lifestyle and consume healthy balanced food with high nutrients. In the Bronx community, most people tend to visit fast-food restaurants because it is affordable, accessible food they can get each and every day. As a result of the accessibility, eating healthy meals is not even part of their healthy life. I have lived in this urban area for the past 6 years and ever since I came to this community I have witnessed a lot of people visiting fast food daily such as Mcdonalds, Burger King, and Popeyes.

Obesity in my community is very important to address because the percentage of obese people living in the Bronx community keeps on increasing each and every year due to food insecurity. Food insecurity refers to us as uncertain availability of nutritious food due to lack of money and other resources. This problem is being affected by “14.5% of households in 2012”. Food insecurity with hunger exits when meals are skipped or decreased in size due to a lack of resources to purchase adequate quantity or quality of food. For those who are often food insecure, during periods of adequate food availability, there may be the overconsumption of high calories, energy-dense food, which may result in metabolic changes, such as insulin resistance, that predispose individuals to obesity.

Studies have shown that in a “low-income population”, food insecurity is associated with obesity-related to cardiovascular risk such as hypertension, dyslipidemia, and diabetes”. The disparities of obesity is that most of the time people are unable to control their emotion, and as a result, they eat a lot because they believe that eating too much will help them to forget about their issue. Also, guilt plays a role in the disparities of obesity because most of the time, people feel guilty that they have been fat their whole life and what is done cannot be changed. As a result, they accept it and continue eating to forget about their guilt.

To avoid this problem, we need scientific advancements that decrease the rate of obesity. First and foremost, we need smartwatches, this is because our health is very important to us and having a smartwatch will help individuals to be motivated and stay fit to live a better life or healthy life. Secondly, the application called “sweatcoin” should be advertised so people will be exposed more to the way of living a better life. This “sweat coin” is a great app that rewards each and everyone due to the exercise they did in a day, motivates every individual to work hard and all their accomplishments will be rewarded greatly. To sum up, everyone loves free things and great deals and if this application is advertised more a lot of people will join this application and there will be a great change in obesity people’s life due to using this application every day to exercise.

Also, the government must come up with strict rules in society to reduce the obesity rate. For instance, students in school must take a gym class at least three times a day to stay physically active and improve their metabolism, also they should banned or close all fast food restaurant so individuals will not think about buying unhealthy food and also make organic food cheap for everyone to be able to purchase and promote healthy lifestyle, upon all the strict rule to they can motivate people to work hard, avoid buying supplement to lose weight fast instead of exercising daily to be fit and avoiding future side effects.

I believe that all this policy will be effective because the government has been working on it. For instance, watching the documentary about “where American stand on obesity”, the doctors tried to figure out why the kids are obese in order to help them with their peroblem. The government then went ahead to take their problem into consideration to open gyms in school for students to work out to reduce their weight and indeed most of the kids were able to lose their excess weight. So based on this testimony, free access to the gym will help young kids out to live a healthy life and avoid any disease later in life.

Living a healthy life should always be our dream as humans because, it will help us to live longer and prevent us from getting any disease later in life which will greatly affect us, leading to reducing our life p. Losing weight is not an easy thing but if individuals are being educated about ways to live a healthy life at a young age and are trained to eat not to overeat. There is a high possibility not to find any obese person in the urban world. We all need each other’s support, therefore we should motivate each other to live a healthy lifestyle.

Delicious Milk Substitutes

Table of contents

It’s normal for someone who doesn’t have much information on it to say that milk is only produced by cows. Groceries have boxes of the dairy product on their shelves, and shoppers buy it most of the time. In truth, there are other sources of the white and tasty liquid. Because of people’s taste preferences and health needs, such came to be. A lot of consumers claim that they’re as good as or even better than that coming from a bovine.

There are other animal sources of the beverage like goats, sheep, and water buffalos. Plants are also ground and mixed with ingredients to create the drink. Due to health reasons and lifestyle choices, there are many milk substitutes on the market. The dairy-free replacements have even become global.

Those with lactose intolerance can enjoy drinking another version of the liquid refreshment. It’s likewise the same for individuals with specific allergies. Even vegans and individuals who are losing weight can get their fill of a sweet and creamy drink. The variants of cattle milk cater to all types of consumers because of their components. For people who would like to know more about the products that can substitute milk, the descriptions are presented below.

1. Almond Milk

It has a bit of sweetness and a nutty taste, which many find appealing. Some, especially those used to cow’s milk, consider it bland. It doesn’t have a strong taste since it comes from crushed nuts. In addition, usually, there’s also plenty of water in the unsweetened mix. But there are kinds, which have a distinct, sweet flavor. Their sugariness might be due to the high sugar or almond butter content. There are also fortified types that have a richer taste too.

Fitness experts recommend it because it’s rich in vitamins A and D plus Calcium. Thus, it’s good for the immune system and bones. Compared to others, it has the least amount of fat and calories, which let people gain weight. But its downside is that it has low protein so it might not be great for bodybuilders who need it to build muscles. Likewise, it’s not for people who have allergies to nuts.

2. Coconut Milk

It’s so aromatic that anyone drinking it knows it’s from the coconut fruit. It has a nutty flavor and slight viscosity. A person may feel a thickness on the palate and throat when consuming it but at least it isn’t sticky.

Those for drinking are in cartons. They contain water and liquid from grated coconut. People use canned products that have coconut for cooking. Many often confuse one for the other.

The drink has fewer calories and fats and is free of lactose. There are also only rare cases where individuals become allergic to it. But doctors point out that they’re rich in potassium and fiber. This means that it’s good for a person’s cardiovascular and gastrointestinal health.

3. Rice Milk

This is another organic type of liquid refreshment that has a peculiar taste. Some people report that it has an earthy flavor and that its aftertaste is somewhat wheaty. It’s also watery since it’s made through the milling of rice.

Many vegans and parents buy it due to the nutritional value. It’s free of gluten and lactose and has no known strong allergens. Furthermore, it contains more carbohydrates than other cattle milk alternatives. But it does have less protein and calcium, which people do not like. In spite of that, enriched versions are accessible holding more nutrients.

This may be great for individuals who have nut allergies and intolerance to lactose. But authorities discourage giving them to children and those who have diabetis. The young need protein to grow up and be strong while those with diabetes need to control their intake of carbs.

4. Soy Milk

Made from ground soya beans soaked in water, it’s a thick drink that isn’t that sweet. Even so, many favor it. The smell and taste of soy are identifiable, and its consistency may match that of cow’s milk.

It’s available in almost all grocery stores since a large group drinks it. Because of its high protein content, such milk attracts bodybuilders. Parents also buy it to supply their kids with a beverage that could let them grow and be strong.

Fortified soy milk has lots of protein, reduced sugar, less fat, and high calcium. It even has no cholesterol too. Yet doctors advise purchasers to limit the soy products that they consume. There’s the possibility that it may increase a person’s uric acid. Aside from that, drinking a large amount of it might be dangerous as it has isoflavones. They’re compounds, which scientists state are the cause of various health problems.

5. Hemp Milk

Drinkers report that hemp beverage is creamy and has a nutty savor much like almond milk. To create it, a person needs to mix some raw seeds and water via blender. But, to achieve a flavorful concoction, it is necessary to add syrup, salt, or sweet extracts. Yet nowadays people buy it from the stores instead, to get fortified drinks and save time on preparing the drink.

It comes from Cannabis Sativa but consuming the milk won’t get someone high. The raw seeds are non-psychoactive. In fact, many consider it a great beverage because of the B and D vitamins as well as magnesium that it contains. Likewise, it has omega-3 fatty acids. Given such, the drink can help in anemia prevention and calcium maintenance. It’s also good for lowering an individual’s risk of having heart disease.

Conclusion

None can say that one of the milk substitutes mentioned above is the absolute best for everyone because of their savor and composition. It’s up to the drinker to decide what is more delectable for his or her unique taste. But it pays to read about the different kinds to know the pros and cons of each. Besides, some can’t take lactose, have allergies, and need to be fit.

Food Insecurity and Obesity What’s: The Connection?

Table of contents

Many people are surprised to find that food insecurity and obesity can co-exist in the same individual, family, or community. Yet the truth is that food insecurity can make people more vulnerable to hunger as well as obesity. The budget constraints that low-income households face (due to low wages, involuntary part-time or part-year work, job loss, unemployment, illness, or inadequate public income supports) often lead to hunger.

What is food insecurity?

The definition of food security refers to the availability of food and one’s access to it. It may be limited access to healthy foods such as fruits and vegetables. Food insecurity is a serious public health issue in the United States today. According to the 2010 data 14.5% Americans were food insecure (~50 million persons), meaning that they were, uncertain of having or unable to acquire enough nutritious food (Gundersen, 2013).

Obesity, on the other hand, is an issue which impacts us all. Because of more sedentary lifestyles, fewer opportunities for physical activity among children and adults, the increased availability of tempting high-calorie, fatty, and sugary foods, our diets and physical activity levels are far from optimal. However, low income people are especially vulnerable to obesity, due to the additional risk factors associated with food insecurity.

Food insecurity and obesity are both consequences of economic and social disadvantage. Food insecurity and obesity are positively associated in children, and adults especially in women (Adams, Grummer-strawn, Chavez 2003).

It is harmful for children, being associated with behavior problems, disturbed social interactions, ruined school function and attendance, unhealthy food intake and physical activity, altered daily activities, and poor health. Some of these outcomes increase the risk of developing obesity. From life course cumulative inequality, and developmental perspectives, food insecurity may have long-term effects, including on risk of obesity (Kaur, Lamb, Ogden, 2015).

Risk Factors for Obesity Associated with Food Insecurity

Photo from Food Research and Action Center

  • Low-income of people are undeserved by full-service supermarket
  • Low-income people frequently lacks full-service grocery stores and farmers’ markets where people can buy fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and low-fat dairy products. Instead, people in the community often are limited to shopping at small convenience stores, where healthy foods are limited, if available at all (Hossfeld, Mendez, 2018).

When available, healthy food are more expensive.

  • The price of healthy foods is also a factor for many low-income households, these items often are significantly more expensive.
  • Low-income families that are trying to stretch their dollars may be forced to buy cheaper, unhealthy processed foods in order to make their budget last.

There are only few opportunities for physical activity in neighborhoods and schools

  • Low-income people often have few safe or attractive places to play or be physically active. Open space good park, sidewalk, and fields- is at a minimum, and recreational facilities often are inadequate.
  • Sports centers are also typically less available to low-income children

High level of stress and limited to access to health care can contribute to weight gain (Junne and colleagues, 2017, June 10)

  • Food insecurity may be a stressor that disordered eating, reduced physical activity, and depression, all of which may be related to weight gain
  • Several studies have shown an association between depression in mothers and children and the development of obesity.

Food Insecurity and Obesity are Connected

Photo from Canadians Women Health Network

  •  The connections between food insecurity and obesity are related to the way’s households must manage their limited resources for food in order to stave off hunger.

Mothers that sacrifice their own nutrition in order to protect their children from hunger can find themselves in a “feast or famine” situation, which may contribute to obesity (National and Metabolic Diseases and Conditions, 2017, June 10). Food deprivation can cause a preoccupation with food and can also result in women overeating at those times when they have adequate amounts of food. In addition, because foods that contains more on refined grains, sugar, and fat cost less than fresh products.

  • Industrial food processing is playing a role in shaping global food systems, supplies, and thus dietary patterns worldwide.

The food environment has evolved along with the pandemic of overweight and obesity, and the influence of the food environment remains underappreciated (Frongillo, Bernal, 2014, December). The food supplies of urban settings in low-income and middle-income individuals, and even rural areas of many middle-income families increasingly consist of food products that are mass-produced, branded, processed, and heavily advertised.

These industrial products include mass-produced and inexpensive breads, buns, cakes, breakfast cereals, cookies and biscuits, candies, sweetened fruit preserves, syrups, condensed milk, soft drinks and other beverages with high sugar content, meat lard, cheese, and other dairy products (Frongillo, Bernal, 2014, December). Because of affordable prices, these ready to eat and convenient foods and drinks are selectively eaten by the socially disadvantage people.

Metabolic Issues In Dairy Cattle

Table of contents

Thesis Statement: The instance of metabolic issues in dairy cattle can lowered by the management of nutrition

The Prevention of Metabolic Issues in Dairy Cattle

With the price of milk hovering around the majority of farmers breakeven price, anything that can be done to maximize profits and decrease costs must be done. Common metabolic issues in dairy cattle can rob producers of profits by decreasing production and adding to treatment costs. The combination of these two factors can decide whether a farmer is making or loosing money. Metabolic problems at the time of transitioning can be prevented by being proactive in the management of nutrition and the cattle. With a few practices any dairy farmer can help improve their herd health and bottom line.

Metabolic issues in dairy cattle come from nutritional imbalances or deficiencies and can create various health problems. A dairy cow has constantly changing nutritional needs as she goes from lactating to the dry period. These issues can be compounded as nutritional needs change in conjunction with the possibility of changes in the available forage’s quantity or quality. Most commonly, metabolic troubles are brought on by the large gap in a cow’s nutrient intake and nutrient demand as the lactation begins. Because the cow must adjust to the change in diet, increase in dry matter intake, and the start of milk production, the first weeks of lactation can make a cow susceptible to problems due to the stress of transitioning. The diseases that are related to nutritional issues are ketosis, displaced abomasum, metritis, retained placenta, and milk fever. Each of these diseases affect the cow differently but all of them equate to lost production.

Metabolic issues can affect a cow in several different ways, depending the type and severity of the problem. The root of the issues stem from some sort of nutritional imbalance. Due to the high level of production, a dairy cow can easily be affected by even a small change in diet. Ketosis is caused by a drop in energy intake and body condition loss when a cow has a negative energy balance. Cows with ketosis will typically stop eating and drop in milk production, when a cow goes off feed this can lead to a displaced abomasum. A displaced abomasum can have a few causes, one is a change in diet from low concentrate levels to high concentrate levels. The second one is because during pregnancy the uterus shifts the abomasum, so after calving when the uterus shifts back to a normal state it can increase the change of the abomasum becoming displaced.

The third is a lack of muscle tone of the abomasum, when the abomasum lacks enough muscle tone it stops functioning properly and causes the stomach to build up with gas. A displaced abomasum is not something that is life threatening as soon as it happens but leads to a cow going off feed and feeling ill, so it should be treated as soon as possible. Hypocalcemia, known as milk fever, is a calcium deficiency in the blood around the time of calving. Cows that consume too much calcium during the dry period become far less efficient in the uptake of dietary calcium. This translates to a higher instance of milk fever because of the cow’s inability to utilize calcium. Another reason for milk fever can be a diet too high in potassium which can put the cow in a state of having a blood ph that is too high, this makes the cow more susceptible to milk fever. If not treated right away this can be fatal. Retained placenta and metritis are both related, when a cow retains the placenta, she has a higher chance of contracting metritis. Retained placenta can be prevented by ensuring the diet has adequate levels of trace minerals and enough protein to maintain adequate muscle tone during the dry period.

While each of the problems are related to diet, there are different parts of the diet and different solutions to the individual problem. The first school of thought with milk fever was that a problem with the udder was causing the illness, but it was later discovered that milk it is caused by a lack of calcium in the bloodstream. The early attempts of treatment were focused on treating the udder to clear a virus that was thought to have been causing the illness. The focus was then shifted to calcium levels in the blood. The two modern solutions to preventing milk fever are balancing the ration to maintain low calcium and phosphorus levels and the other is feeding a diet that is more acidic to keep the blood ph at a more acidic level. Balancing the ration to maintain a lower level of calcium and phosphorus combats the onset of milk fever by not feeding calcium and phosphorus in excess (Philips) . When calcium and phosphorus are fed in greater amounts than what is needed by the cow, it reduces the cow’s ability to utilize sources of calcium such as bone calcium. This can help reduce the chance of milk fever by allowing the cows body to easily utilize sources calcium when it is in high demand at the start of milk production. The newer solution of feeding a more acidic diet to keep blood ph lower allows the cow to utilize more calcium from the bones and increase the calcium absorption from the intestines (Ondarza 2018) . Some may say that feeding to maintain the blood ph level is too complicated and requires blood checks to make sure of effectiveness. Of the two methods my opinion is that the second option is more practical. While the first option is effective it can be difficult to get calcium and phosphorus levels low enough while maintaining a balance ration. While it is still important to manage calcium levels in the dry cow ration, the second option can better improve the success of preventing milk fever.

Metritis and retained placenta are both side effects of mineral and nutritional deficiencies. At the time of calving, a cow’s immune system is weakened due to colostrum production and the stress of calving. This leaves the cow in a more susceptible state to metritis. Retained placenta can be prevented by having sufficient levels of vitamin A and D as well as selenium in the dry cow ration (Warren 2018). The energy levels in the dry cow ration should also be high enough so that the cow is more likely to spend less time in a negative energy balance. Cows that are too fat at the time of calving are more likely to have difficulty calving, this puts them at a higher risk of retained placenta. In order to be healthy dry cows, need to be under a body condition score of 3.5 out of 5. To maintain a low body condition score, the dry cow ration should have the proper amount of energy to provide enough energy to allow a smooth transition without adding excess body fat. Some suggest an approach to preventing metritis and retained that is aimed at keeping calving areas low stress to put as little strain as possible on the cow. While this does help and all cattle areas should be low stress, I think it may be harder to control due to daily functions of the farm. Even with strict management of the freshening areas a cow can still be disturbed or have trouble while calving. That is why I think a well-balanced ration with proper mineral levels gives a cow the best chance at a trouble-free transition.

Ketosis and displaced abomasum are both problems that affect the cow after freshening and are associated with feed intake problems. These two diseases result in a large loss of production and potentially the animal, so all prevention steps should be considered. Ketosis is caused by the mobilization of body fat in fat cows due to a negative energy balance. A displaced abomasum is caused by too little effective fiber in the diet or too high of a grain to forage ratio. Both ketosis and displaced abomasum can be caused by milk fever, as milk fever reduced the muscle activity in the gastrointestinal system. To prevent ketosis and displaced abomasum the dry cow’s diet should be have a low level of concentrate that is increased as calving approaches. Once a cow has calved, a fresh ration with less grain and a high amount of fiber will help reduce the chance of a displaced abomasum by keeping the rumen full of fiber and keeping the rumen ph at a healthy level. Increasing the amount of dry matter intake for cows that are close to calving can also help by getting cows used to the jump in feed intake once milk production has started. A higher protein level can also help prevent both diseases by maintain body weight easier while in lactation and keeping the intestinal muscles well-toned.

Arguing for the benefits of vegetarianism

Be a vegetarian. It is all one can say to another to stay healthy. In the current world that human kind live in, it is very clear that many people have different problems in their bodies. Some people may have cancer, some may have flu and some others may be obese. About 8 million people die from cancer every year and considering the fact that Switzerland has a population of about 9 million people, this country would be wiped out to nothing if the cancer killings only occurred in Switzerland.

A simple way of lessening the risk of catching cancer, or rather any kind of disease, is to be a vegetarian. People practice vegetarianism for various reasons. Some being health, religiously, economically and environmentally. But even with all the reasons combined, there still aren’t enough vegetarians to change the future of the world. If we were to be vegetarians, first of all we would be consuming less fat and cholesterol, decreasing the risk for us to get obese. With the advantage of not having too much fat in the body, we would have a less chance of getting cancer as well.

Secondly, we would be consuming more beneficial nutrients and minerals such as carbohydrates, fiber and vitamins. The loss of protein can be replenished by consuming beans for vegetarians. The last reason that vegetarianism is good is because it is very environmental. When raising livestock in farms consistently produces CO2 from the animals, vegetables produce oxygen. Hence, it is very environmental although plants produce CO2 as well. The world would be living with less danger if everybody in the world were vegetarians.

Also, the Earth would be less polluted than it is right now. But the problem is that in reality, it is not. A research page had a result showing that a mere 5% of the world’s population were semi-vegetarians. The number of pure vegetarians would be less. Many people in the world are not aware of the word ‘vegan’ which is the same term for vegetarian and most of the people know that being a vegetarian is good for one’s health, they just completely ignore that fact and carry on a meat-based diet because it tastes good.

If people quickly learned that they could live longer by following a very simple process, it would finally be the time period of the human kind going against bacteria. We humans having the largest brains ever seen on earth have taken control of the earth for thousands of years but bacteria, having no brain at all have been controlling the earth for millions. A solution to this problem of not having enough conceptual awareness about vegetarianism can be very hard to find.

Since it is impossible for one to force another to follow a plant based diet, the solution has to be something that triggers oneself to follow it on his own. A way to do this is to advertise the positive effects of vegetarianism. Another method, based on a fact of having unlimited resources, is to invent a technology that would make vegetables more attractive to eat.
