India has been successful since its liberation from a colonial state. Africa still battles with unifying and recovering from the damages of thousands of years against its land and human prosperity. The divisions and ignorance created from colonial rule still linger today and can account for some of the fuelled war and internal racism that still exist with Africans against one another. It may be hard to unify due to the complexity and diversity of Africa’s cultures, languages and religions. Also their lack of leadership to help unify and demand prosperity may play into this as well. Africa hopefully will develop into a well post-colonial society, it may just need more time than India’s recovery.
