What other factors affect decisions to migrate? 2) Read: Massey, Douglas S. 1990. ‘The Social and Economic Origins of Immigration.’ Annals of the American Academy of Political and Social Science 510: 60-72. In this article, Massey calls our attention to factors that often affect migration decision and would be missed with too narrow a focus on economic costs and benefits. Give a few examples of such factors.
