Sexual harassment can vary from small remarks, such as being told that you look like peach cobbler and ham, all the way up to acts of stalking, exploitation or even rape. Another example of sexual harassment is a manager telling an employee that in order to keep their job or achieve a higher pay or better position, then they must go out with or perform favors for the manager or supervisor. Sexual harassment is defined as any unwanted advances from any person towards someone else within the workplace. Harassment can be from a male or a female toward any other male or female. Sexual harassment includes unwanted physical touches, looks or advances, it can also include unwanted comments and teasing. Sexual harassment should not be tolerated anywhere, at any time, but especially not within someone’s work environment. Sexual behavior becomes illegal when it creates a hostile work environment. The employer being harassed has to make it clear to the harasser that their behavior is unwanted and unwarranted, and then the employer who is being harassed, must report the issue following their employers’ protocol for the proper chain of command. The Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 law protects not just the person being harassed but also any person directly affected by the offensive conduct. Unfortunately, Title VII law only applies to employers who employ fifteen or more employees, so instances where sexual harassment occurs within smaller businesses, often get brushed under the rug. Most companies take sexual harassment very seriously and provide a training class for new employees.

Sexual harassment, by definition, is any unwelcome or unsolicited action that is perceived in a sexual manner by someone. It is an action that makes a person uncomfortable and potentially viewed as a threatening situation. These actions might make a person think that if they do not comply that there might be a negative consequence such as not getting promoted or getting fired in a workplace. Sexual harassment in the workplace is a very thin line. Someone potentially can be made to feel uncomfortable with mere words such as being called sweetheart or comments associated with one’s sexual orientation or preference. Sexual harassment itself is not necessarily a crime unless there is some type of criminal activity associated with the harassment such as rape, assault, imprisonment, stalking, bullying, and so on. But a person can press charges when they feel threatened and uncomfortable for emotional damage. In the world today, sexual harassment is not acceptable at all in the workplace. There is no situation where making sexual advances at someone should be tolerated. The comfort of working in an environment without harassment of any kind should be strived for under all circumstances. In most cases, sexual harassment is a fireable offense and most places provide some sort of training as to knowing what is and is not acceptable behavior in the workplace. With proper guidelines and training, all staff should know if there actions and words could potentially cause harm to another. There is never a proper time or place for sexual harassment and the workplace is no exception.

1. Racialization by definition is the formation of a new racial identity by drawing ideological boundaries of difference around a formerly unnoticed group of people. If we stereotype people as we have Muslims, it plays a role in racialization, looking at appearances of people and their viewable traits. When we see people walking around with head wraps and darker skin tone we automatically sense danger. Mostly created by media portrayal. With the Irish, that is not something you can readily view, and can be made known or hidden, just by what we choose to reveal to others by ” turning it off or on”.
2. Absolute poverty is a condition where the household income is below a necessary level to maintain basic living standards. Relative poverty is a condition where household income is a certain percentage below median incomes. I do believe the poverty is a national crisis in the us. The government should make college to be funded just as grade k-12 and not a choice but a requirement, weather to learn a trade or a profession of choice. To equip people with the skills needed to succeed in life.
3. People that have fewer resources to good food selections are at greater risk for poorer health outcomes. They eat unhealthy food thus leading to conditions like hypertension and diabetes. People can take advantage of forming groups to come together to maximize there options, like transportation to areas where supplies are greater quantities.

racialization is the process of applying race as a contributing factor for something onto someone that has not identified it themselves. In terms of Muslims, right after 9/11, they were all classified as terrorists by Americans in general in fear of another attack. Even though Muslim is a religion people classified it as a race and slapped the term onto anybody that looked like they could be of that religion and ostracized them. With the Irish, when they came to America they were not accepted by white people and looked down upon because of their Irish blood. I think after a certain time Irish Americans prevailed from this while Muslim Americans still have trouble going through airports.
Absolute poverty measures poverty as the amount of money to meet basic needs like food and shelter. So if you are below the absolute poverty line you can not benefit from a prospering economy because you simply can not afford to get off your feet basically. While relative poverty is living above the absolute poverty line but still unable to afford the social standards of living like a whole wardrobe or internet and cable TV. I do believe that is a national crisis. It is difficult to come up with a solution to such a complex problem. With that, my solution would be to not have every member of congress receive a six-figure salary and to put terms on congressmen. I think that could potentially put money into other areas like fixing school systems and helping lower poverty lines.
Health care is one huge resource that people might not be able to afford. Especially in a pandemic like right now. Older people that can’t afford proper health care are bound to die simply due to the fact they can’t afford the proper treatment. I would also say if someone isn’t able to maintain cleanliness due to financial restrictions it’s going to cost them, for example, homeless people. If they had access to a barber and a fresh shower they might be able to get an interview somewhere because first impressions make a huge difference. I would say people with few resources that want to help themselves need to go to a library because knowledge is power. Besides that, I think it really just takes dedication and maybe a extreme life event to change something around.
I Need this within 9 hours.
Thanks
