How I Love Anime

When I was the beautiful little ten-year-old girl of years past, I discovered an online community that would plague me for years to come, How exactly I found DeviantARthom is lost to me, but I remember falling in love with it quickly. I was that kind of kid. Unkempt greasy hair, wore the same outfit every day, and had a vast amount of seemingly obscure interests and nobody to talk about them with. Anime. God, did I love anime. I could barely hold a conversation with anyone that WASN‘T about animet Because of this, I obviously had no friends This all changed when I met DeviantART, an online community blessed (or plagued) with people just like me. When you get a bunch of socially awkward people together with one common interest, especially one like anime, the people aren’t going to obey proper English rulest.

They’re going to jump rope with them, stretch them and even add exaggerated mannerisms of the anime girls they idolizet There was also a lot of racist cultural appropriation and fetishization of east Asian people, Wanting to live in Japan or wanting a cute Japanese girlfriend was regular topics of discussion, as if Japanese girls would put up with someone like the speaker. I’m deeply ashamed of ever being part of this community, and although I’ve preserved my interest in the shows, I try not to mention it to strangers. Thinking back on it, the majority of this unique “language” was composed of broken Japanese, emojis, and overuse of the tilde (N) key, all italicized, Emojis were serious business, There were a few variantsi Someone new to the community might use traditional, sideways emojis like 🙂 and :3, while an older member would move on to flat emojis like OwO or UwU.

The true veterans, ones with a deep understanding of a community made up of young teenagers and immature young adults, would use emojis consisting of actual Japanese characters This would mean that the user would either have a bookmarked page with all of the emojis they needed, or they‘ve installed their own Japanese keyboard and they craft all of their emojis with love, “Premium” emojis would look something like this I](|:|[|w|:|)|:| or this (En “)EI, Notice how at least one of every example had a w-styled mouth, or a cat face. For whatever reason, cat-like faces and mannerisms would be a common theme in popular animes and by extension popular with the fans. Emoji’s were an expected part of the community Everyone used them, and you were considered weird if you didn’t embellish your comments with loosely identified cats.

Some of the more optional parts of the language really set where you were in society, I was never very high up, because by the time I could understand the language, I thought it was stupid and refused to participate in anything but emojis and tilde keysi What I‘m getting around to is the fake Japanese Newer people didn‘t use this, not because they weren’t allowed, but because they couldn’t understand it At most, people on the lower rings would use nya, the Japanese word for meow, and kawuii, the Japanese word for cute, People who had watched more anime and picked up more common phrases would use things like watashi wa meaning “I am” and gomenasai meaning “l’m sorry”, The last aspect of the language that I’ll go in depth about is purposely misspelled words. This part was kind of fun, but it’s not something I keep incorporating into my casual texts.

Purposely misspelling words so they would be pronounced similarly when read aloud could easily transform the tone of the text. For example, just saying “Hi” could signify coldness from one person to another It was unnecessarily “formal“ or “normal”i It was like a text you’d send your momfisomeone who wasn’t a member of the community. A properly capitalized “hi” could mean something like “we need to talk about something important”. A casual invitation into a conversation would be misspelled to be “Hai”. The amount of i’s you tack onto the end can be used to signify how close you are. For example, just saying “Hai. :3″ is awkward. You’re trying to make friends, but you’re not there with them yet, “Haiii~ o w o” is more intimate You might know this person in real life or you’ve become very important to each other. Other commonly misspelled words were enywayz, teh, and computah, When you combine all those aspects together, you get an ungodly mish-mosh of broken Japanese, cats, misspelled words, and tilde keys.

While a normal, well-adjusted member of society would say “I’m really curious, what are the specs ofyour computer?”, someone from my circle in DeviantART would say “Uwahh~ Gomenasaiiii… im really curious x3~ wut kinda computah do you has? 0 w 0”. When you talk like this on impulse online, it‘s very hard to make friends who don’t type the same way you do. Being a kid, I adopted this method of typing into my actual spoken speechr Kids want to mimic the things they like, that’s normal. That’s why you have kids running around quoting SpongeBob SquarePants, But it’s not normal for a kid to drop random Japanese words into sentences and expect other kids to understand or think that it’s cool, That’s how the language in this community affected me personally.

My own use of the language caused me to stay with the same dysfunctional and immature group of friends for years longer than I should have. I didn’t start making new friends until a few weeks ago, because everyone in my school remembered me as the girl who used to talk like that. Around my freshman year of high school, 1 became so ashamed of my friend group that I cut myself out completely. For the next 3 years, I had minimal contact with some more normal friends and I spent most of my time alone or with my now fiancé.

As such, I’m not completely sure exactly how friends are supposed to act with each other, and the way I act seems forced to me. I robbed myself of a lot of high school experiences because I decided to be loud and incorporate my community»specific language outside of the community, and it led with me having a reputation for being that kid, It’s not all bad. Although my experience with my community is mostly negative when I look back on it, I had a lot of fun there as a kid I drew art, made friends, and shared interests with people that I wouldn‘t have been able to do with people in my school. A lot of my interests from that period of my life has persisted up to today, Ijust try to be a lot quieter about it.

The community did lead me to find my fiance’, someone who‘s long hair I probably wouldn’t have been attracted to if I wasn’t so used to beautiful anime men with long hair and eyelashes, Last night, I was talking to a friend of mine that went through the same period as me. Although she grew out of it quicker than I did and was able to keep a group of real friends, I still kept in contact with her. Writing this essay lead to me to go look at my old account, now collecting dust. We laughed about that creepy kid that kept trying to scoop us out from underneath our then-boyfriends, and how immediately after she broke up with her boyfriend she started talking about her favorite cartoons. The conversation confused me. I still don’t know if I wish I never joined DeviantART, or if I consider it a precious memoryt I’ve contradicted myself a few times in this assignment, and fixing it to one narrative would destroy the idea that I’m not sure how to think about it anymore

Explain why Effective Communication is Import

“Go do it your f****** self!” Okay, so we all have these moments, but that doesn’t make it an acceptable form of communication. How do you react when your boss, colleague, or professor make you angry? What I am talking about here is professional communication. When you are out of your home and in the workplace, school, or store there is an acceptable way to communicate with others and there is an unacceptable way to communicate. Acceptable, or professional, communication always involves taking the other party into consideration and being respectful towards them. This means to be respectful with your words, your body gestures, and your tone of voice. Hold the curse words for home, hold the arm throwing for home, and hold the yelling for home. Professional communication is essential in academic and workplace environments as it allows parties to effectively express their ideas and exchange information.

A great example of professional communication and why it is essential would be the time I was at a jobsite, got frustrated and told the person in charge that if they wanted to add more to the work order that they need to pull the money out of their personal funds. Now normally, this situation would have been okay because I work for a contracted company and this particular job had to be approved within their headquarters, but when I let those words come out of my mouth I showed my frustration with my tone of voice and my body gestures. After this exchange, word got back to their headquarters about my attitude which then got forwarded to my boss. Luckily for me, I had no prior incidences and got away with only a reprimand from my boss, but this could have ended a lot worse.

The next day when I returned to this jobsite, I returned to the person to apologize for my actions the previous day. I explained to him that the job had me a little bit frustrated and it was nothing personal, but I also told him I was sorry and I won’t let it happen again. I told myself I wouldn’t let it happen again as well. I locked it into my mind that I need to be consistent and calm when speaking with any customer, colleague, or persons in charge. I have kept this incident in my mind as a reminder to remain calm and to not let my emotions show when in any sort of professional circumstance.

At the end of the day, I learned what professional communication really meant. Professional communication is presenting yourself in a calm, concise, and intellectual manner. Professional communication requires you to be aware of where you are and who you are speaking to. Professional communication is important in preventing and resolving conflicts, exchanging information precisely, and expressing ideas respectfully. Professional communication will help me succeed in school by allowing me to exchange and express ideas respectfully and accurately while avoiding and/or preventing conflicts as they arise. And professional, communication always involves.

A Vivid Example of Animal Rights in the Movie Blackfish

Blackfish is a 2013 documentary that explores the controversial subject of killer whales in captivity. It is the story of a famous killer whale named Tilikum that killed three people, including an expert whale trainer, while in captivity at Sea World. The filmmaker, Gabriella Cowperthwaite, attempted to explore the misconceptions and harmful living conditions that may be the root cause of why these animal violently attack their trainers as well as trying to bring awareness to the public and create a shift in attitude toward the question of whether these highly intelligent animals should be held in captivity for our entertainment.

In spite of low box office revenue, the film generated a larger audience online and through streaming services that resulted in popularity among animal rights activists. In contrast, large numbers of Sea World supporters have fought back by dispelling the film as simply propaganda driven by “animal rights activists posing as scientists”. Initially Sea World did not respond to the film.

They refused to do interviews to answer any claims of the film or to defend their practices. When they finally broke their silence, they launched a public relations campaign that centered around websites, videos and advertisements centered around attacking the credibility of those involved with the film rather that disputing the facts raised by the film. Both points of view have played out across the internet through blogs and social media sights such as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. The result is a mainstream and social media phenomena that has come to be known as the Blackfish Effect. In March of 2017, Sea World announced they would no longer continue breeding programs and would also end all orca shows at their 11 theme parks. After three years of pressure resulting from the film Blackfish, Sea World stock prices were down and California had proposed legislation to ban all orca performances in water parks.

While the filmmaker’s primary goal was to create public awareness of the issue, the Blackfish Effect had successfully brought about change through the strategies of grassroots activism and organizing, high profile media coverage, use of social media as a call to action and tapping into the emotions of the audience. Grassroots organizing is defined as a collective action from the local level to effect change at a national or international level which is typically more natural or spontaneous in nature. In the case of the film Blackfish, the filmmakers were hoping to create a shift in awareness beyond the scope of animal advocacy groups and whale conservation groups.

The result was an active mobilization of people who would boycott, donate and volunteer. PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) had an ongoing campaign against the captivity of orcas and filed a lawsuit against Sea World arguing the whales deserved protection under the 13th Amendment of the Constitution which prohibits slavery. Even though the suit was lost, the media coverage went a long way towards increasing awareness. Celebrities played a role in this by attracting attention through their twitter accounts. PETA also called for a boycott of Macy’s after it was announced Sea World would have a float in the Thanksgiving Parade.

All of these efforts helped to keep Sea World and Blackfish in the news. Media coverage is exactly what kept the Blackfish Effect going full steam ahead. Initially Sea World refused to comment on the picture. A few days prior to the film’s release in 2013, Sea World finally released a statement refuting the claims made by Cowperthwaite. This seemed to only increase the attention and coverage as well as raise public awareness. Sea World then launched a PR smear campaign of websites, videos and advertisements which attacked the people involved with making the film as “activists disguised as scientists.”

In response to schools cancelling overnight field trips at the parks, Sea World took out full page ads in eight newspapers refuting the allegations of mistreating animals and stated that park guests “see this story as an activist agenda.” Other animal advocacy groups such as the Humane Society, and Born Free Foundation used this media coverage to promote their own campaigns. Opinions and ideas rapidly reach millions through social media at a rapid speed through shares, retweets, likes, comments, and tags. Blackfish and Sea World made use of Facebook, Twitter and Youtube in very different ways. Some could argue that Blackfish had more of an open forum by allowing anyone to post or make comments on their Facebook page. This type of transparency does lend itself to false information and negative comments. Sea World however, created a Youtube channel but did not allow comments to be posted out of fear of criticism.

The main points of their campaign did not refute claims of the film, but rather attack those that made the film. The end result is Sea World losing in the court of public opinion as evidenced by the loss in stock value and lower attendance in the parks. The film Blackfish did an excellent job of tapping into the emotions of viewers which undoubtedly has led to the demise of Sea World. The film portrays the horrors that occur after being captured from the wild and essentially enslaved in theme parks for the public’s entertainment. Blackfish details how these social animals live in claustrophobic tanks in solitary confinement with insufficient room to swim.

The viewer is left with the impression that Orca’s are essentially kidnapped from their ocean environment. Perhaps the most heart wrenching aspect of the film is how the babies born in captivity are with their mothers for the first few years but when it reaches a certain age it is sold. The mother whale is distraught and cries out frantically trying to communicate with her baby. The viewer cannot help but have empathy for the suffering of these peaceful and intelligent animals. A current comparison of this separation could be the plight of immigrant families being separated as they illegally cross the border in to the United States. The public at large struggles with the idea of children being removed from their parents and respond emotionally. Ultimately the government was forced to change the policy on separation as it was a hot button issue.

Makeup Tips And Hacks

Fenty Beauty‘s purpose is to create an inclusive and diverse range of makeup products that include all women regardless of identity, age, skin color, ethnicity, and sexuality. This brand was created for people who tend to be excluded from mainstream cosmetics brands. The brand focuses mostly on adults from the ages of 18 – 30 but is used by people of all ages. While Fenty’s branding and marketing are primarily focused on women, the brand encourages all genders to use their products. Their primary target audience believes in holding companies accountable for their social and environmental actions. Fenty Beauty is a cruelty-free brand that also strives to be vegan-friendly and caters to people allergic to gluten, as their products are gluten-free.

Fenty Beauty took the market by storm and positioned their brand as a very strong contender in the industry; they were able to fill a market that has been desperately demanded inclusivity and diversity. According to Time.com, Fenty Beauty earned a record of $100 million dollars in their first forty days; and ranked third in earned media value in the cosmetics industry in 2017 according to Woman’s Wear Daily. Fenty Beauty promises to create high-quality products focusing on the inclusivity of women of all skin tones, races, and backgrounds. They want to make make-up fun and exciting instead of feeling pressured by society to wear makeup.

Fenty Beauty has a simple, minimalistic look; they use neutral tones that match with the skin tones of their models or their make up shades. Their elegant monogram ‘FB’ pressed into their pressed-powder products such as highlighters or eye shadows, while their liquid products are sold in frosted glass packaging, creating a luxurious and upscale feeling to their products. They are known to use women of color, and hiring models that are known for their unique personality, unconventional beauty, activism and more. The use of women of color, especially very dark skin tones, disrupted the beauty industry since the majority of cosmetics companies did not cater to these women.

Fenty Beauty is accessible to their broad audience, they are conveniently located in Sephora stores, both brick and mortar and online, as well as their own website, fentybeauty.com. They are priced lower than their luxury brand competitors, and their wide range makes them more inclusive than other brands. Fenty Beauty has established themselves as the leaders in diversity in their wide range of products, from very dark to very light. Mainstream cosmetics brands tend to have less range when it comes to shades for people of color; Fenty Beauty has 50 shades in their foundation range. Not only are they leaders in their industry, but they’re also top of their game in terms of marketing, branding and creating more intimate relationships with their audience.

As I stated before, Fenty Beauty is all about diversity, inclusiveness, and social issues. They support minority groups, women’s rights, LGBTQ+ rights, animal rights and they support Rihanna’s Clara Lionel Foundation. This foundation focuses on improving the standard of living for young people around the world, funding programs that provide education, health services and more. Fenty Beauty’s brand attributes would be their popular and positive reputation in their industry making them relevant, they have positioned their brand well, with many people choosing this brand just to support diversity. They are a trusted brand, with consistent products that satisfied their audience’s standard of quality.

Fenty Beauty’s long-term goals would be to become the leader of their industry while creating new products that their audience loves. They want to make a positive social impact as a company that got their start from social issues. Short-term goals would be to become a fully vegan-friendly brand, as well as creating new products to keep their brand relevant and to promote growth. Fenty Beauty is leading in the cosmetics industry with new ideas, diversity, and excitement to be inclusive of all women and to bring out their confidence.

Fenty Beauty wants to remain relevant; one of the benefits of supporting Fenty is supporting diversity and inclusiveness. A way they can stay relevant but also staying true to their values would be to do exactly what their brand stands for, and to hire women of color, women who don’t fit society’s image of ‘conventional beauty’, women of different gender identities and sexualities and so on. Using women that stand out from the usual cosmetics advertisements will help Fenty not only bring awareness to the brand but also brings awareness to what the brand stands for. This will be implemented throughout their social media platforms, online website and other promotional avenues.

I believe a large part of the appeal to Fenty Beauty is how relatable the brand is compared to other luxury cosmetic brands. I think holding a special event for fans of Fenty Beauty or Rihanna will help make the relationship between the brand and consumer stronger. When your brand is relatable it’s easier for consumers to trust the brand and for brand loyalty to increase. Not only will the event make consumers connect with the brand, but they may also feel like they’re apart of the Fenty family or experience.

Lastly, I would create videos for Youtube to help promote the brand, show how the products can be used, and just general information about the brand or promotions. There is a large beauty section of Youtube, with likes of Jeffree Star, Michelle Phan, Huda Beauty and more, there is huge potential for Fenty Beauty videos on Youtube. This will help with brand and product exposure, the brand could bring on popular YouTubers who have huge followings in the millions. These videos can be makeup tutorials, makeup tips and hacks and even questions and answer videos.

The Importance of Integrated Marketing Communications Imc to Amazon

Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) ensures that all forms of communication tools within the marketing plan are linked together. As an organization wishes to promote a new product or service, there should be a detailed and careful approach to achieving the objectives within the marketing campaign.

Utilizing a variety of promotional methods which are coordinated together, can strengthen the campaign since they are designed to reinforce one another. Companies who take the time to carefully plan out their campaign, have far better chances at the promotion being a success. Evaluating and monitoring is a vital step towards the success as well.

There are numerous companies who have well thought out plans initially, but there are additional steps to carrying out successful outcomes during the movement of the promotions. Evaluating and monitoring plan as well, ensures the company to discover what is working and what is not, along the way.

A well-designed IMC plan coordinates every element of the marketing mix: products, prices, distribution methods, as well as promotions and presents a simple and unified message to the consumers. Additionally, keeping six important steps such as: Understanding the target audience, creating a SWOT analysis, communication methods, determine budget, develop strategies and tactics, evaluate and monitor progress.

One of the most important of these 6 steps would be understanding the target audience. By doing so, the company can develop effective marketing communication strategies designed towards a set of individuals who share similar interests, or needs that your product or service can serve. When a company chooses to not know their target audience and believes that a “general” approach to customers will always result in higher costs and ultimately, a failed marketing campaign.

Amazon, a flourishing e-commerce designed store of 22 years, is a prime example of well-designed IMC. Amazon is regularly used by millions of customers daily for about anything you could possibly want or need in your life. The creator of Amazon, Jeff Bezos decided on the name Amazon, because he had a vision of selling “exotic and different”.

Ideally, in the beginning life of Amazon, the first products he decided to sell online was compact discs, computer hardware & software, videos and books. Due to the popularity of selling on-line books from his garage in Bellevue, Washington, Amazon bookstore grew to sales of $20,000 per week. To this day, Amazon’s subsidiary, Audible offers over 350,000 books online and has generated over $74 million dollars and a 28% audio sales increase within the first quarter of 2017.

Not only does Amazon offer a multitude of products for their customers, they offer a variety of ways that Amazon can enhance your daily shopping system. One of their most popular methods is to offer Prime Memberships. I personally, have had Amazon Prime for many years and as much purchasing I have done with Amazon, the monthly cost offers me free shipping and sometimes it can be delivered the same day if you place your order early enough, although waiting just another day, seems to be fine with my lifestyle as well.

If I am in the mood to read a certain book, I can also simply download it and begin listening to it immediately, once again, satisfying my purchase, by satisfying the need.

Amazon offers competitive pricing against retail giants such as Walmart, Barnes and Noble, Best Buy and Toys “R” Us. In doing so, Amazon continues to gain a strong edge within the market and is giving the other retailers, a serious competition. Recently, Amazon has purchased Whole Foods, and plan to insert themselves comfortably in a market that currently is a $795 billion-dollar industry. As Amazon is expected to be a “top-10 player” in the grocery store market by 2019, once again, they are offering a service to their consumers that will surely be useful in their daily lives.

Amazon does all of this without a lot of advertising dollars in their budget. The company has an amazing algorithm from start to finish, time tested and approved marketing strategies that even the best companies can learn from. Amazon offers a well-blended variety of products such as books, DVDs, mobile phones/tablets, Kindle, gaming consoles and games, apparel for men, women and children, pet supplies, jewelry and automotive supplies. Together all of these product areas, coupled together with the correct marketing mix and integrated marketing communication plan, it is no lucky chance that Amazon dominates the retail industry presently.

Customers who purchase products from Amazon are global and this increases far better exposure for designers and manufacturers, as well as store fronts who otherwise might not have the additional promotions to sell their products, as well as cross promote additional products they might have to sell. Amazon has an excellent customer service rating and realizes that a positive rating is a strong detail to factor into the overall objective for the product, the seller and them as a company. Once a customer has made a purchase, Amazon sends an email a few days later to retrieve feedback from the buyer in a form of a very quick survey method, further increasing the validity of the product.

Amazon incorporates all of the IMC tools and has scientifically mastered how to advertise with very little funds, chooses to use direct marketing via emails, offers interactive internet marketing, sales promotions and provides support to their consumers and personal selling as they open their brick and mortar stores located in New York and Los Angeles in 2017, which will focus on books, audio, hardware devices and electronic gadgets from Kindle, Echo, Fire TV and tablets.

Amazon has opened a brick and mortar store located in Seattle, which is a grocery store that is testing the consumer buying market. Although, Amazon was originally created to put brick and mortar stores out of business with their e-commerce approach, they are once again, branching out to new levels and bringing huge amounts of new customers with them as well.

My Experience in Gaining Valuable Counselling Skills During My Career Development

My first day of participation in video counseling was not successful. I lacked the disclosure skills and the necessary level of competency to conduct the interview as expected. I was very nervous because I was afraid of losing the subject and getting stuck in the conversation, so I got lost.

This was due to the lack of full confidence in what I was doing and what actually needed to be consulted. Nevertheless, it is an undeniable fact that knowledge is power, and it is likened to light that dispels the dark cloud of ignorance. After acquiring relevant knowledge, skills, and developing confidence and belief in what I do, the last 10-minute video consultation experience was great, everything went as expected. Unlike the first day, I acquired all the skills, appropriate knowledge and precise procedures that need to be followed to make the consultation as successful as possible.

Therefore, starting from the second consultation, I feel great and comfortable. ef in what I wasance. After gaining age is power, and is In the first incident, I was not armed with necessary techniques required in counselling; while in the last incident, I was aware of all the techniques required to make a counselling session as successful as possible. In the fist experience of video counselling, I hardly employed active listening, tone, body language, note taking, summarizing and paraphrasing. As a result, I never became one with the interviewee and I could not get and information due to failure to actively listen.

Besides, my confidence was at stake, owing to the fact that I never took notes and I was not able to master any word hence it was impossible to summarize the entire session or even paraphrase everything the interviewee shared with me. Nonetheless, the humble beginning never influenced my growth and zeal to improve on myself. Actually, this breathtaking experience created a gap in heart, which I had to fill to be at peace with myself. In the following video counselling, all the techniques were in my mind. Active listening enabled to get the context and fully understand what the interviewee was saying, and this created an avenue to intertwine my tone with body language.

Being aware of all necessities, confidence hardly became a worry. I feel comfortable, because I was able to relate with my interviewee based on the notes I took, the summary of important points I made and the sentences paraphrased. Therefore, with success in the second session, it is permanently inculcated in me that the distinct counselling techniques are important in meeting the needs of a client and feeling a sense of contentment when everything flows perfectly. Through the last video counselling, I am fully aware that asking questions helps an interviewee to open up, paraphrasing enables one to convey empathy, genuineness and acceptance, summarizing enable focus on the main points during the session and the goodie bag creating fun and enjoyment within the session making it as lively as possible. In contrast, in the first instance I regarded counselling like any other question,

How Social Media Affects the Real Life

How teens today and social media are affected by the constant use of it and the ability to get lost in social media day after day and when it reaches the breaking point social media and real life can become foggy. Besides for social media being a huge distraction it is also a way for people to express their feelings which has positive and negative repercussions mainly because of cyberbullying that doesn’t stay as such because it will take a physical form and worst then that children not just across America but the world are taking their lives because of it.

Social media can cause children to become materialistic and not be able to see the bigger picture all they are worried about is the next new trend, do they look good today, and who posted another selfie and more importantly how many likes and followers do they have. Social media can be hard to separate from real life and that’s a huge problem especially with in schools when it becomes a huge distraction and for some a tool for bulling while adults are being threatened by their superiors to not post anything that is considered “inappropriate” even though they are adults. Besides for how school and social media are effecting one another, social media plays a huge roll in someone’s job, career, occupation what every you want to call it from a janitor to a professional athlete and finally to a doctor or a teacher; if you aren’t the boss of yourself social media is huge and can be the deciding factor in being hired, fired or promoted.

As owners child I see how much your BOSS watches you and monitors social media and employees that work for him, I’ve witness my dad call someone into his office pull up their twitter, Facebook or Instagram and had anything about work that wasn’t positive he fired them on the spot and didn’t care cause anyone who is willing to post things like that didn’t deserve to work for him. Also, I’ve watched my friends be fired and they would look at me and there’s nothing I could do about it because even though friends are important business is business and I have to respect that and that is like most businesses but the worst are those in the school district who aren’t allowed to post pictures with alcohol, bathing suites anything like that cause they will be reprimanded and after multiple offenses will be fired.

In those instances, I think the bosses are being too strict because it could be a picture of them on vacation and for that, they could be reprimanded seriously? At that point, they need to be able to draw the line and realize that’s there life they are enjoying it. but finally the pros god save them any wrong move that is found offensive in anyway can result in fines and sometimes loss of sponsorships which means loss of money which means more controversy over their lives. besides for this small part of social media there is bulling.

Social media plays a major factor in who someone is no more so then the like button on every post, tweet, Instagram post, news feed etc…. you name it if it pops up on social media there’s a like button somewhere. the ability to like something is huge especially for teens because now they want the bragging right of “I have more like than you” so now they become obsessed with that so constantly posting tweets, or posts on Facebook or on Instagram trying to get a ton of likes so they can show their friends. (Stella C. Chia1, pg2) I remember when I was back in high school my senior year when “senioritis” started to kick in that I didn’t realize how obsesses everyone is with social media. I knew that my class was heavily influence by social media but I didn’t realize it was this bad until then the only things I saw were phones out social media up and the hot topic of almost every conversation was did you see this on this persons pg. on this social media and everyone would go to it and check it out. they would like the post giving someone the self-esteem that they are liked but sometimes those people that posted something is a “like” because people use it sometimes as a form of bulling. As well as the previous paragraph about bulling there are the five w’s of cyberbullying who, what, why, where, when.

Within social media the who could literally be anyone there was a case down in misorie where a women Lorie drew pretended to be her daughter’s friends crush on my space in a way to get back at her at first she gained her trust made her like “him” and then she crushed her by breaking up and telling her to kill herself and that no one loves her shell never have true friends and all kinds of horrible things to say to a teenager and as a result she killed herself. Another “W” is what was it over, in the teenage world which truly is its own little world it could be anything from pimple on your face, dressing funny have a speech impediment dating a guy/girl who just broke up with their other, and finally where you stand on the totem pole all of these are just ammunition for teens to feel soupier to others. Xu, Jun, Zhu, & Bellmore,pg 2). why for amusement and a stigma of self-worth, where and when could be anywhere.

Tyler Clementi the Rutgers student who committed suicide after his roommate Dharuk Ravi secretly recorded him having sexual relationships with another guy. This became a nationwide story of this incident and the first time cyberbullying became such a big deal don’t get me wrong its always been a problem but after this incident it was just like through more gasoline on a fire. why did Mr. Ravi do this as a way to humiliate his roommate and to play a curl “joke” on him causing him to take his life.( Ed Pilkington, pg 1) This has become reality for many families throughout the world it’s a sad reality but a reality none the less kids are unable to separate social media from real life and by not realizing what the reproductions could be such has suicide kids loos the idea of social media being just that a way to be social through media it has turned into a weapon. Social media plays a huge roll in real life whether or not we like it or not is a different story but until people start to realize just how bad and harmful things can be that are posted incidents like Tyler clement will continue to happen granted schools are starting to crack down on bulling but there will always be away around it. social media affects everyone because you are unable to separate real life and the media.
